Since this seems semi-relevant, I want to point out that the PPSH guards in the lend lease commander currently have the worst PPSH as they did not get the accuracy/DPS buff the conscripts got, which is pretty shitty for elite infantry.
More on topic, Partisans will still be decent since their DPS will be about similar to Ass grens, and they can ambush effectively and with the use of mines or grenades they could also take down much better units such as Obers. It will be a viable commmander but will need more tactics than a heavy call-in meta commander.
Would love to see a guard PPSH buff. Not crazy but it's needed. That commander could be such a fun change up from the same shock rifle or guard motor. |
Every time Relic buffs/nerfs something, they overdo it. Like look at what they did with the OKW grenade. They made it incendiary with very high damage and no timer or slower throwing time.
I know it's being fixed in a hotfix soon, but I wonder if Relic even does a 5 minute test to see whether it is functioning properly. Anyone with experience in CoH2 could see it is absurd.
ISG was buffed too. Any stationary unit will get rekt. Today, my shock troops got hit by one ISG shell, and they got pinned (not even in negative cover) for about 10 seconds before I had to retreat them.
they do seem to always overshoot UP abilities/units/commanders. Their new rule should be whatever they plan on doing to improve something...do it half as much as that ![;) ;)](/images/Smileys/wink.gif) THen we coudl probably zero in on really good balanice. |
Here are my issues with this game:
-I personally think that the pop cap is an exploit
-That being said ^, I really find it is hard to win with USA late game... imagine, even using this strat USA could not win but it is not a reason for that "exploit" to exist.
agree it's hard to win late game...but this needs to be fixed somehow...that's not fun or in spirit of skilled COH play to spam 8 RE's and leave crew members ou of all tanks in base then pop in and rush. Some more medium armor buffs plus better Vet and better AT gun vet would be a great fixes for USF late game IMO. Plus a Pershing is coming ![:P :P](/images/Smileys/tongue.gif) |

In theory the pop cap based system could be fine if the pop cap was delegated better between the units. The way it currently is you are paying a lot more upkeep for some units than you would spend on the coh1 counterparts, as a result in coh1 you could field large armies and still bring in ~230mp, whereas in CoH2 you would be in the 150-200 neighborhood with a similar army size/strength. Higher upkeep> fewer total units > less multitasking > less advantage for high micro players in late game

Lol, holy karma....5 M10s easily wipe tiger but they all rushed in so far that at all but 1 dies to pak fire....then S Price calls Arty on a VP and wipes his own squads....pure karma if Symbiosis wins. |
As of 47 minutes into the game, Price never exceeded 100 popcap with all 5 crewed M10s combined with the rest of his army. Any benefit, as far as I can tell, consists of manpower income.
exactly it is a MP boost since it lowers pop cap. that plus low cap on RE means very high MP despite having a sh## ton of units. |
Now through pop cap exploit (not cheating i know) of M10s S Price charges with 6 M10s vs Tiger and 4 paks....
edit: and Symb floating 250 fuel but barely has pop cap availabel and price has 40 ish...Symb has much better unit preservation yet can't take advantage of MP and fuel float since his pop cap is almost full....
I'm sorry but watching this game you can see that this RE spam allows for slack slack play due to super low upkeep and pop cap absorption. Maybe give them more pop cap and later tech for logistics in order to get the pop cap down. |
CoH2 has no unit upkeep. Relic took a shortcut and just based upkeep off of your population cap usage. That said RE are 1 popcap per model, 4-5 per squad. As a result you pay 40% more upkeep for Rifleman, 75% more for Grenadiers, and 250% more for Fallschrimjagers, to put that fucktardery in perspective.
That is good point...the old way of COH1 upkeep was great....esp how rifle in mid game could reduce upkeep to help them scale along with great Vet 2 and 3. |
