OK, PAK is the best ATG. and ZIS is not bad ATG. It has a arty ability and more crews
but, USF ATG and OKW RL... It's sucks... USF ATG -> low penetration, OKW RL -> low range...
OK I know It's cheap. but I think, always expensive thing is better.
Well the issue with the OKW ATG is that it is a tier 0 unit.
That and since it can garrison buildings it kind of needs a real flaw. |
i don't know why people think this but the pen of the zis is not significantly lower than that of the pak.
Well, allow me to use some "German math" here.
Not only does the Pak have a higher penetration value than the Zis3, it fights tanks with lower armor, ergo it has way more pen than a soviet ATG. |
Honestly, instead of nerfing anything to the Pak40, why not beef up the other AT guns and give them one thing that would set it apart from the Pak. Like make the Zis make up for its pen and small cone with a really good ROF, make the 57 pen more with a bit less damage.
Oh, the panzershreck on wheels, I don't know what you guys are talking about that it sucks, I find it a god-sent when playing as Russia with heavy conscripts. High amount of serviceability and you can place it in a building and it pretty much defends itself from enemy armor? Yes please, I would take that over the pak any day of the week.
The issue is that because it fires rockets it will often hit things that would otherwise simply get pathed through. |
Problems with the Jackson-
1: The 90mm gun was actually quite adequate at anti-infantry roles. Two machine guns on the tank only furthered this. You see no such thing in this game and honestly I think the only AT platform that is worse at dealing with infantry either has to be AT guns or an elephant.
2: Low HP. The Jackson actually had thicker armor than an M4 Sherman and in a straight up fight the open top legitimately would not contribute significantly to it being vulnerable. Maybe against artillery, mortars, and aircraft, but not another tank.
3: Trying to excuse weak penetration with high damage. Never mind the fact that the staggered penetration values by range makes no sense for a tank Relic's already gone out of their way to give weak survivability on, this tank is only good with vet, it has a difficult time surviving fire fights to maintain that vet, and relies on button pushing to actually deal with any tank because normal rounds suck. |

These threads seriously need to stop. Just because more players are searching a particular faction DOES NOT mean that faction is OP. If you have a legitimate concern regarding Balance then say so. But this statistic proves absolutely nothing apart from more people are preferring to play axis (also, this only applies to team games).
I play both Team games and 1v1s and I can tell you quite often there are more Allies searching than Axis in 1v1s. What does this mean? That more allies players prefer to play 1v1s then Axis at the moment. That's it. If you have something to say about balance then say it but again this shows absolutely nothing.
I can post screenshots of Allies searching at 100% as well. Again, it proves nothing.

Anyone remember in COH: TOV when the Panzer Elite halftrack's suppression value was bugged and gave it nearly MG42-grade suppression? You basically had to get Langres in 1v1 maps to win just because of structure positioning.
Yeah, that was broken. It also didn't last too long.

The idea that anyone is willing to defend a tier 0 unit that costs about as much as a conscript, as mobile as an M3 scout car and can lock down fuel sectors for a good 2, 3, 4 minutes if played correctly from a faction that is generally seen as being the one with the end game is laughable.
Remember, the Ameri-Burger-Bus got nerfed to 1 CP and basically nerfing the commander into not existing because of how "good" it was. |
