Unless Relic wants to do something akin to making US indirect fire not suck (hint: Make RES not suck, make rifle grenades an upgrade rather than something they get in defensive positions) they need to do something pretty solidly against the OKW.


I'd say cap off tier 0 units (king tiger isn't tier 0, keep your pants on) at vet 3 rather than vet 5. As is your generic light infantry unit that's supposed to be cobbled together between wounded war vets, old men, and kids (who are conspicuously missing the automatic weaponry that made the divisions famous, but somehow also botched it where AT squads and general squads were two separate entities) are actually a bit more durable than US riflemen squads, and it gets worse when you factor in unpredictable assault grenades.


And I'd pull the cold weather immunity because it's bordering on racist. Does Relic not think Russians were unaware of jackets? Or are they assuming the volksgrenadiers hump that panzershrek across the field? Just because it was called a stove pipe doesn't meant they literally used it as one. At least it kind of makes sense with the Americans since at the onset of the bulge they WERE ill prepared.

The only reason ass engineers stand out is because there's no other (good) way to get flamethrowers as the US, and, gimmicky or not, those demo charges will win games.

-Wehrmacht had a sniper
-US had a sniper
-Campy Britz had a sniper in the recon squad only, where one sniper shot cost muni
-PE had no sniper, though it had anti-sniper devices like the vampire, or kettenkrad (and the vampire was not so much used until the 2.602 patch i.e. the last patch)- and the ATHT could be classed, very loosely, as a sniper, if you forked out for the 'concentrate fire' ability - or whatever it was called.

All units in CoH2 should have a sniper component(IMO) The USF is hampered without one; and if the OKW is nerfed, as it will surely be at some point, so too should this army have one

And BTW, sir muffin, I think sniper play hinders general gameplay, FWIW

The number of problems in the game is too big to be worrying about snipers and a lack there of.


We have entire tech trees that are largely useless with what they do have because most strategies come back to using 2 or 3 units as a crutch.

They're welcome to. At this point Relic needs me more than I need them. The longer they behave like wehraboos and censor commentary asking for historical accuracy on their webpage while something like this- (http://imgur.com/NRI6peS)- was one of their first advertisements for the game.

Volks are fine. yesterday i had a game on the crossing in the woods where my single panther had to face 6 85's . while i reached the popcap limit. consider the fact that the soviets do not need to tech and mark target its nearly impossible for the okw to stand up against the soviets rather large economic advantage. if i had no volks with shreks my panther would be overwhelmed under 85 spam.

You are aware of what 6 SU85's cost right?


And you had one Panther?


And its not that the Soviets don't need to tech, its the fact that you're actively discouraged from it: excluding the SU85, maxim and maybe two other units your entire tech tree sucks, while your call ins are remotely competent.

Because is allways easier to win like this.

I can spam sturmpioneers and win most games.


I can't do that with the US or soviets. Come again? I actually have an easier time cheesing as the OKW.
