Well, when i play Sim City, eh OKW in 3v3+, so do i, but otherwise you're screwed by muscle memory. I have considered doing an 'Art of Defence" Guide because a lot of people use defences very badly... Kinda funny, i do the exact same... on the mid / south. I think a well scaling guide would be good. Mini-wiring on 1v1-2v2, how to lock down flanks in 2v2+, etc... In: COH2 Gameplay |

Problem with passive defenses is their stupid low health imo Sums it up, but... ...i still voted for "Dunno what's wrong with you I always spam wires and tank traps...", mostly via shift + x while capping, or especially when going for some braindead Sim City OKW play in 3v3+, while singing "Look at my fort, my fort is amazing..." "Mini wiring" cover is always awesome in 2v2+ (and 1v1s probably too), a bit more "hardcore" is always an option as well, depending on map of course. Shutting down a flank is a nice to have feature, but i don't expect it to last forever, just because "reasons". My personal favorite is still random placement of tank traps to screw with path finding, or to wire cover (which often doesn't seem to work properly for whatever intended reason). Another reason why i sometimes don't use passive defenses: the hotkeys are different between factions, and i start to get seriously annoyed by it. P.S.: about Tellers and other mines... i'm a huge fan of those, so i'm not sure why those are included. One game it wastes your ammo, another it's the decisive factor. That's just how mines work. Why don't we, I don't know, change the resource system back to what it was in vCoH. HERPIN'DERP. That might deviate from established gameplay too much. Besides Relic mentioned they don't want snow balling with territories again - for a good reason IMO. I'd still say perceived balance issues (via maps and match making) are the most common problem, at least for the majority of players. Top level cheese balancing can probably never be achieved anyways. In: COH2 Balance |

Where do you read "completely biased"? The point from Butcher, me, and others, being: if you create a poll, which already reflects your own view partly, and leaves out units based on your opinion, then it's biased. Wouldn't you agree, you kinda already push your poll into a certain direction if you leave out units on purpose? Anyways, was just food for thought, and we kinda end up argueing here way too much. I never voiced my opinion on the majority of these units, to be honest. I just put up what, from what I see, are the most commonly picked up on units in the forums. Well, that doesn't mean they aren't any less useless. Nobody i know builds 2cm flak emplacements, except "for the lulz", still you rarely ever see a topic about them. I actually have never seen one yet. Also, booby traps? Sure, they're a bit more expensive than a demo if you're soviets (or substantially less if OKW), but they're still a demo charge explosion style mine that aims itself... It's about what they do. It's a waste of 100 ammo to kill 1-2 models max. Any basic mine is way better, demos anyways. Partisans are "worse" due Soviet callin gameplay, they're not that utterly awful. VonIvan seems to like them a lot, and actually causes quite some havoc with them, so do others. While whenever i see someone build a Pwerfer, he can be lucky to gain 1 kill on average per barrage, if even. Partisans can be a fun unit to troll around, PWerfer ends up in insta regret IMO and doesn't even offer any sort of "fun / troll bonus". A bit less one sided / biased poll might be better - just my 2 cents... In: Lobby |
