There are many ways to delay even more heavy call-in, just add them 2 or 3 CP more to be available. Personally I don't see any problem having Heavy tanks with strong front armor and really weak side and rear one. I mean, they should be weak as medium tanks are. My vision is heavy tanks share the same design issue with the Kubel - you can't flank them, it makes you bleed MP for no cost. Weaker they side / rear armor + make repair cost fuel for Heavy tanks should be enough to mitigate their lack of weakness. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: win-lose-ratio from 15.9. - 25.9.2014 + much more28 Sep 2014, 15:33 PM Let's add some more information EDIT: 1vs1 stats A bit of SPC flow chart. the SPC flow chart is a method to monitor a process in order to improve it - here, each faction meta in the current meta. How does it work: it takes the average (from each day faction victory ratio - from the google excel doc) and show the limit of the process/balance. I took the data from 15 to 25 sept but I cut the graph in two side as a patch has been deployed on 23 sept, so a modification in the game meta/process. To analyze the data after 23.9, I need more daily data, at least for a complete week. What the meta/process is: Top200 players + game balance. If a patch goes out (like the 23.9) we reinitialize the flow chart. If we look below we can see that OKW faction is design for a victory ratio that goes from 59% to 82% until 23 of september So in fact, during that period the OKW meta is build to not let the faction going below 59% victory per day. USF faction, 49% to 71%, so the faction meta has been design to be 10% less effective than OKW faction. To know how it goes after this last patch, I need the same data from 23 to today and a bit more days to improve the calculation of limits. If someone wants the flow chart for Sov and Ostheer, I can add them, but since they're between OKW and USF ratios, it's not going to show much more. OKW flow Chart UFS Flow Chart In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Heavy tanks - easy use26 Sep 2014, 14:33 PM Proposition1: Make a dedicated repair ability on heavy tanks costing fuel. You can only repair a heavy tank with that ability. Proposition2: Make each shot costing a bit of ammo, like 5 ammo the shot and yeah maybe introduce the shot per click. So, no more ammo, no more shots. Proposition3: Create a new Trail damage for heavy tanks: gives a chance to any AT source to break the trail leaving the tank immobilized when it is under 30% of his life, only works on sides and rear. the trail damage is automatically repaired when back at least with 50% of life. Thread: Patch is up, Kubel is slightly nerfed25 Sep 2014, 20:46 PM Kubel still too powerfull for USF early game. Do we need to wait 2 more weeks to have something barely balance? I mean I don't need to play 10 games, first OKW players I meet and Kubel push, it took me 10 minutes to kill it, thanks god around rank 500 as USF you still meet noob OKW players that are unable to micro anything that isn't OP like the Kubel. Not sure it's going to change anything on bigger games. First game vs a OKW, fast Kubel push and it is still effective... It seems the problem didn't move that much. Let's say that now we a little better chance to manage it but I let you watch that short replay, 15 minutes. He went Kubel first with Sturmpio pushed me hard, I managed to hit somehow the kubel, killed his sturmpio while he was repairing the kubel and had to suffer a fast Puma + fast Lunch. I won and he called me noob. Well I'm not the one rushing in the middle of him with my super AI units. In: Replays

Believe me, I'm very sympathetic to the issues that both USF and soviets have with their infantry right now but sturmpios are too expensive to field enmasse. I don't think the issue is whether or not the Okw need an early suppression platform (be it Kubel or my-34 ), it's how those units preform. Shrek blobs are annoying but I don't find the okw muni income to be so out of wack that they need a muni dump just to acquire suppression. Early shrieks are often needed for m3s and m20s and a 30muni dump to stop a blob would hurt that a lot. I'd love to see cons buffed and the Kubel nerfed in some way but I don't think a muni dump is the answer. Well, if you play as USF and you pay your grenades it not likely you'll have enough ammo to pay for Zooks or BARs, If you play Ostheer, you pay your LMG at cost of Shreck, if you play Sov, you pay your AT grenades at cost of molotovs and flamethrowers on your Penals. If you play OKW you should have free suppression and only pay for your scherks? In all of my 1vs1 games vs OKW that goes farther than a Kubel push, after 10 minutes I'm facing a blob of shrecks + sturmpios before sturmpio squads being replaced by Elite troops when during that time I have no BARs at all because I need that ammo for smoke and dps nades. BARs and Zooks are crappy today so it's not a big deal, but if they were better the choice would be more important. In: COH2 Balance

Unlike the M3 and WC51 which can cruise around wiping squads and capping at will... It doesn't explain why do they need the suppressive ability to be native. Okw need an early suppression unit, the Kubel is just too good at both suppressing and staying alive atm. A setup suppression toggle where it can't fire while setting up would at least make it make it vulnerable when responding to situations. Why do they need an early suppressive platform? 30 muni for 10 or 15 or 20 sec, I'm not a balance expert is a cost for that need. And it's perfect because it's delay shrecks. The same way any upgrade other factions need early game. You want it, you need it, you pay for it and you better use it well because it delay what you could need mid game. In: COH2 Balance
