Hello!
I've become interested in doing some videos for casting, and I did a little research about softwares available for casting. Well, needless to say, I got a little confused about the possibilities - there are a lot of options!
So, what software do you use for casting? I'm not trying to find "the best", but rather know what I need/can use effectively. Mind, as well, that I don't use twitch, and don't know how it works.
If possible, could you be so kind to answer:
- What is your preferred tool?
- Why did you choose it?
- Is it a generic software that can be used well with any game, or there are games that get better results with this or that soft?
- Does its use interfere with the gaming experience? Memory use and such
- Is it relatively user-friendly? I mean, I never used anything like this before, so this will be a totally new experience.
Lastly, I'm asking this using my laptop, but I have a desktop where I usually game on. It came with a Radeon R9 graphics card, and along with it came some softwares installed that seem to do the trick - are they good? For starters, are they enough?

Oh, this is sad. I did play some WiC some years ago, it was very fun. That's why I like SP strategy games more (like civilization and such), they usually are "atemporal" |
I have this experience from time to time, can't say it has become more frequent. People take the time to open steam and try to look more about me on my profile, then start calling names. If I'm facing an european, usually I'm a latino scum. If I'm facing an american, I get the negro stuff.
What botters me is how, on the information age, we seem to have worse and worse prejudice issues (we could open a whole new topic about this, but it would rather rapidly get very toxic/heavy/undesirably polarized; I'd be happy to talk about it on PM, though, so just do that if that's the case).
As Inverse said, there will be always assholes. I try to look the half-full glass and see the good folk that I met around, which is a surprisingly good number as well.

The way you put it, I might as well join him in this cool time of sorts. Is it some CoH2 deathmatch to prove which one is worthier of posting? This seems a good idea - "MODERATED GLADIATORIAL GAMES OF REDEMPTION". Can we invite Nulist?

About those tank hunter squads, I was thinking about it - maybe a nice idea is making them have some good cost in MP, and they'd be 4 men with 1 shreck, with 3 possible packages that the player may choose from:
1) Second shreck (90 muni)
2) "Cammo pack" (60 muni): they gain cammoflage
3) "Trap package" (30 muni): can lay tellers
The packages are exclusive, i.e., you can't choose more than one.

Every army has its cheap strategies that work great. It's a problem that happens in every RTS game. Every time I face soviets, it's Always MG spam or conscript spam with ppsg. Americans, sooner or later, will blob rifles with LT or captain, and you can bet that the pack howie will show up. Ostheer I haven't faced in ages, but it sure will go tiger or CAS.
But, going away from this game, any other RTS is the same thing. It's a problem of the game genre, naturally the players will find out what is abusable, and will abuse it. It's the designer's duty to provide good enough counters to the abuse, that, maybe not so easy to implement, but devastating when it works. The demo charge is maybe one of the best examples.

Making a tank Hunter separate squad is a good solution, but putting above it a munitions cost seems a bit stupid. "I'll buy this tank Hunter squad, and then I'll buy the thing that makes it a tank Hunter squad". No, thanks.
For volks, I don't want a MP44 package, this is like for upgrade. It's much better to give at least 2 options and make the player choose. For example:
- 1 package would be the SMG's, with a buff to recc acc, but losing the self healing, smoke grenade, no AT
- 1 light AT package, with some sort of AT rifle similar to the guards one, opening the option to planting tellers and a recc acc penalty |
I wonder how can you find so many images that fit with such specificity to the subjects in question. |
Obers are hard counter for infantry, I don't think they be made into a hybrid abomination.
Obers with shrecks... Fast vetting elite infantry... Current popcap has a upside for this... And then a upgunned, schreck-wielding elite infatry with sprint running around finishing tanks.

The zook accuracy is too good now, specially for that cheap cost, and you get 2 of them for free. The Pack is wiping full health units left and right as the pinned damage reduction modifier is not in place anymore. Stuart wipes inf and KILLS OKW T3 completely. It always causes crew shock and vision block, effectively rekting the puma. It also has a silly healthpool.
Suggestion: No free zooks, Increase the cost to 75, Reduce the staurt HP, reduce the Pack AOE.
U sure seem to like using the Puma at kissing range against the Stuart. And why not raketenize? The only thing that could be discussed is the wiping capability of the Pack, but with it on the field, you shouldn't stay still. |
