IS-2 is very satisfying to roll around. It's a shame that a cross-eyed individual is the one making the aiming. |
Back on LeIG days, when OKW had nothing left because Volks were very trashy, I remember saying one thing:
OKW should have full resources, units are kept how they are
OR
OKW receives a better base infantry.
Not happy with one buff, OKW receives both; also, the kubel with no fuel cost as a faster capper makes no sense.
I don't know if OKW should receive its resource penalty back or the worst infantry. I certainly used to like making resources conversions back and forth so I could get a earlier panzer 4, for instance |
Guten Lag
May the forces of necromancy stay strong in thy soul. |
Vet not working since launch. Well, I got a new game |
Disclosure: I don't think another faction is needed, and I consider it a very bad move if this so happens - balance, bugs, you name it
About the faction:
General feeling about it: OKW is still meh? Take this ubersteroid version.
Tier 1: the basic men would be the only AI infantry? Right off the bat I wouldn't consider buying the pioneer upgrade, unless I get desperate for artillery
The tank-hunters would be super squishy with just 3 men; at least fire power at wooping 3 shreks would be very OP; the abilities are crazy good too. I don't like this.
Kubelwagen ace? For real? What would Hull Down do? Why not the bike?
Tier 2: mortar. Very expensive mortar
The sniper ace is so OP, specially with the mines. Who would use the sniper to snipe? I'd put mines on key places, the tank hunters close, with TWP and reload, voila, no more ANYTHING.
Tier 3: I don't understand why the pak should receive 6 men. This tier is so strange. Is it a new building that allow other buildings (the bunker ace)? Or is it Wehr's "Battle Stages" way of unlocking stuff?
By the way, how many bunker aces would you be able to build?
Tier 4:
Wirbelwind at 40 fuel, no way
The rest of the tier, not sure about the nebel flare. Panzer 3 would be a AT or AI? And the MG incendiary rounds - would it be a limited time ability or permachange? If permachange, very OP
Tier 5: the kingdom of ancient arian gods come upon the feeble allies and hammer them down with rage and unfathomable pain. But why the MP cost for stukka?
Unsolved questions: what would the single veterancy give? And what about commanders? Well, I'd never want any commander with this thing, aside Osttruppen. |
The game is 3 y.o. Last patches were shockingly bad. I don't know if even a reasonably balanced, bug-free CoH2 experience will ever be reached. At this point, I'm giving up on optimization.
The only redeeming thing happening is the fact that playerbase actually grew a little on the last few months (refer to Steam Charts). Still, right now I'm spending my gaming time hoarding septims on Skyrim. |
As I said before, the Korean War is a great entry for CoH3. You can keep some familiar units, while bringing some new mechanics. It's not so well known, so that's a barrier to new players but, as long as the gameplay gets great, the game will sell well. |
I liked the movies, with the exception of the big, big planet-size Death Star. This was really a overshot.
Other than that, I don't have such rose-tinted glasses over the original trilogy, and I enjoyed the prequels, specially the third one - the films tried to tell a new story and, for good or bad, they managed to win the hearts of fans - or else that Clone War Cartoon would not be so succesfull, as well as the dozens of merchandise/books/games about the Clone Wars.
Episode VII really tries hard to earn the hearts of people with all those New Hope references, and as I watched I felt like seeing a rehash, with no new story. In that sense, I came out of the cinema a little disappointed. |
The op clearly identifies his post as a 5/7 must read material; I'd not be so sure, I can rate it as "oogy", according to Calvinball Stats.
On another topic, God forbids that edibleshrapnel's opinion is right, but reality seems to be what he said, sadly. Gehenna is upon us, the elders from the forum are getting crazy. |
Nullist.
Oh, I miss this guy. |
