The real twilight zone would be, giving USF long range 0CP inf call-in
Give rangers 5 scoped Garands that should work. |
You are one of the very few members here which I unironically respect and take his opinions seriously, so please I would advise you to stop trying to belittle me by trying to pull me off as a nutjob who does not know english.
Ok but you still basically told me I was an idiot because USF can't get an LV out in time to challenge the 222 when I was talking about teching for weapon racks the whole time.
he cannot afford zooks, cannot tech for ATG (if he is going for LV as you said).
But I never said this. From the very start I was pointing out that it's very easy to tell when an OST player is rushing an LV, because they will not have any Grens.
Now if you want to point out that teching racks instead of going for your own LV is idiotic and it's so stupid you didn't even consider it that's one thing. (Because I'm bad at 1v1 anyways I admit that.)
But it's another thing to be arguing against a critique of your strategy I didn't make.

LV rush requires the fuel to tech to lieut and also more fuel to get that vehicle in field. tell me how exactly will the usf player have 140 fuel (since you also said he will tech up) in 5-9 min mark to bring on the field?? lol you guys are funny even to players who actually give you a solution
Bro. When I said "tech racks", what on earth made you think I was saying he was going to rush an LV?
I said the USF player would intuit (transitive verb; to know, sense, or understand by intuition) an LV rush, and then tech racks for the BAZOOKA, and that was the only time LVs were mentioned in my post. |
Not to bash on your post, it looks clearly well-structured.
It's just that I think that sideteching in general does not comform to the standards of COH2. So making a ridiculous side teching faction even more side teching is a hard no from me.
It's the exact same amount of sideteching, just you can buy a greyhound from T3 if you meet the requirements to tech T3. |
I wonder how is it even gonna work. Ok let's imagine that old prices remained unchanged, USF can get full tier unlock and LV in first 5-6 mins, having access to major at this time is OP AF, almost all of his abilities should be gated behind T3 unlock, meaning that it will be a dead popcap weight in your army.
Simple fix is just to break all the rules and let the tier unlock without providing the major unit and make him the 120 fuel sidetech. This is the Twilight Zone after all.
On top of that cost of LT+CPT should be equal to the cost of full T1/T2, other wise there will tech rushes.
But you can tech major after getting LT+Cap anyways. Nothing's changed about timing except you can get an LV.
In the Twilight Zone, said M8 would likely cost a bit more in fuel, and have a bit less reliable main gun. Clearly something you would prefer to have the Stuart over.
The M8 as it is now has a worse gun than the Stuart but can still reliably pen any LV at long range (save for the luchs). It would have to have been nerfed a little.
If anything, USF could have had T1/T2 discount ones T3 is unlocked.
Maybe in the next episode... |
Rangers that are actually worth 10 Pop.
Now THAT's insane |
Hmmmmmm
Brain not work good |
Imagine, if you will, a world where the USF tech structure is as follows:
T0: RET, Mortar, Riflemen, Ambulance
T1: Lieutenant Unlock -> MG -(Sidetech Unlock)-> [Light tank I forgot the name of], M20 Scout Car
T2: Captain Unlock-> AT Gun -(Sidetech Unlock)-> AA Halftrack, Pack Howitzer
T4: Major (Unlocks for FREE if: Lieutenant + Cap is bought, Full T1 or Full T2) M8 Greyhound -(120 fuel Sidetech)-> Sherman, Jackson, Scott
For this USF, located only in the Twilight Zone, having both support weapons and a Light Vehicle is not an impossibility, but a certainty.
Edit: In the Twilight Zone, the number 3 doesn't exist. It's a Valve-themed alternate universe. |
pio mg mg bp1 t2 building (the one with 222) pzgrens 222 brings 222 at most at 5 minute mark, which gives you at least 4 minutes to rape cuckfinders.
Then again A.) Player can notice you didn't tech t1 (no grens) and intuit an LV rush, teching weapon racks and getting bazookas
or B.) At any time during these "4 minutes to rape cuckfinders" the USF player can tech racks and make your 222 nearly worthless. |
You'd open with rear echelons, give them BARs, and wait for the major to give them M1919s? I mean, in theory, sure. But I doubt any USF player would survive playing with REs for 15 minutes to have the later game M1919 volley fire.
M1919 unlocking after the Major is not a bad idea overall. I highly doubt there would be balance issues. But alas, unless a miracle happens, there won't be further updates.
No, no. Just play with Riflemen as normal. Maybe give RE just one zook until major, then give them the lmg. Use them to support/defend on flanks perhaps, once they aren't needed to fend off LVs any more. With an M1919 they can stop any unit from closing the distance with Volley Fire.
Not some kind of mainline infantry replacement, but a true support/ defense unit. |
