..and STILL not a single bulletin for the King Tiger ?!??? WTF already.. |
This war spoil system seems like it was intended to torture the players who actually invest hours in this game. I got few duplicate commanders for the faction I don't ever play. Whole bunch of faceplates I don't ever use or change. Mostly bulletins for the units I rarely or never make. Skins I already bought half year ago. The whole idea is basically psychologically wrong and retarded. The players who actually bought particular skins, commanders should never have to get them, or fear to get them as a drop - period. The old system was soo much more rewarding. If u prefer one faction, or push one particular unit, you slowly unlock bulletins for that faction and that particular unit you prefer. almost every game I build KT - do a lot of hours and damage with it, and guess what, never got anything EVER from the drop I could ever use on this fav unit of mine. Nowdays whenever I receive a drop I have to force myself not to even look what it is, 'cause I don't wanna ruin my day before some lousy automatched game does it for me. I really hope they fix and integrate some patch/sys into this ruin of a game it is now - that makes it possible to melt all those duplicate/unwanted stuff into something you actually long for, before disappointed people like myself give up on the whole parade if for nothing else, just for the matter of principle. |
Maybe it's worth to mention.. this games eats great amounts of memory.
As stated above, on my pretty much max. settings it fills up all 3 GB of video memory of my Asus TOP280x, and then some RAM - more.
on the other hand on my old rig; Q6600 @ 3.0Ghz, HD5870 and 4 GB of RAM I can manage with some medium settings, low AA, Physics OFF, but it takes 20 seconds to start after everyone loads and you can obviously hear the HDD crunching all the textures in the page file, since 4 Gigs of ram and 1 gig of video just doesn't cut it.
p.s. lower you Physics settings or even turn them off.. I didn't manage to perceive THAT much difference in realism, and it really helps the FPS imo.
p.p.s. If I registered it correctly, mostly ppl with Nvidias are complaining, while the ATI guys claim it runs fine.. and my hunch is telling me that it might have something to do with the fact that ATI gives at least 1 GB more of video memory in the same price class..

game runs pretty fine for me I must say.. during the 4 vs 4 chaos of things even. I don't stream, or record or mess with the camera much to be honest tho'.
I have AA and Physics on medium, and Vsync is off.. everything else is on absolute max. on HD res.
Rig is AMD FX8350 @ 4,4Ghz, 16GB or RAM and R9 HD280X
just my two "fps" |
haven't had such an experience. Sure drops happen, but rarely imo. |
Can anyone post any WWII pics with Browning Hi-Power pistol in use (if possible) ?
It's the only handgun used by the both sides of the war - the allied and the nazi. On the allied side by the SAS and Canadian forces, and on the Axis mostly by Fallschirmjäger and SS. Thx in advance. |
anti tank dog
I'm familiar with this horrific living contraption ;/ Of course the Russians came up with the idea.. the nice irony to it was, that they trained their dogs to run under the tanks - with their tanks during the training. When they attempted to deploy the anti tanks dogs "funny" thing happened.. the dogs started to run back toward the russian tanks lol, because they were used to the smell of the diesel, and not of that of the gasoline. Poetic justice I'd say.. |
I really, really agree. These massive heavy tanks were notorious for their engines failing for no reason.
And as already few ppl pointed above me, as well for their superior optics, powerful cannons and RANGE. But nah, KT should just sit as the duck while the ISU, Jackson and SU's fire at it from the fog of war, that's pathetic. I'd also give up blitz anytime for the superior range that the Axis tanks obviously had. |
Their only weakness is their lack of speed, so why give them an ability that not only negates it, but also makes them faster and able to chase down Jacksons/SU-85's. It's breaking the late game balance so hard.
their main "weakness" is their availability in competitive games. Try playing against good allied players and then try to spam ranked up Tigers and King Tigers lol. Jacksons speed and range (range which doesn't make any since imo) is getting exploited by the players who know what they're doin' in every game. Pull a quick one on Tiger then back up a bit, repeat until the tiger is dead, or until it rage-rushed into a AT ambush. But if you're clumsy enough with SU & Jack - to receive a shot or two by a slow heavy tank, then your opponent deserves an opportunity to blitz after you and finish you off, even if that means whole bag of another risks involved for it's usually (lone) rushing deep inside enemy territory with extremely valuable unit. Regarding the defensive blitz, well I guess it's just tactics, get over it. |
Surely we don't play the same game...
or you've been unlucky enough never to be "auto-matched" inside a good coordinated Allied team.
I'll never forget one game against some Allied pros, it was a 4 vs 4, and I suspect we were playin' against only 3 guys while the fourth just capped behind them with one squad and plotting something.
They were that good that we didn't even realise we were playin' vs 3 players only. They mostly focused on both fuels, denying it for the 60% of the game, but we held tight n' fought and "thought" we were ok. The game went on so far I managed to unlock the Tiger but still had no fuel for it but I thought to myself, soon we're goin' places lol, when other team mate deployed couple of PZIV's AND all of the sudden - blob of 10 or so tanks drove all over the map right into our base destroying eveything in it's path. I was like WTF.. I hardly managed to build one tank, my team mates only few mediums, and we weren't that much worse during the game, and all of the sudden they have 10+ co-ordinated tanks ready for ultimate push. It was literally mind blowing.. They fourth guy was obviously just making (russian) Shermans untill had had like 6-7 of them. And they other one called in the T34/85's and that was it. |
