Heavy machine guns needs total rework,specialized 300 mp plus units which are powerful and risk to lose and unable to cap.Will end the spam problem,while actually reflecting the rarity and devastating combat potential of machine guns on tripods(12 per battalion of 800 men)

Ostheer is probably lacking of something early game and too strong late game, a balance change is more than necessary here.

Panther is the only thing that really counters is-2 and its inaccesible.A smart soviet player will always back his is-2 with zis and then ur in shit.You may ask..why don't u get pak to counter that?Well first u have burned all ur mp teching,second is-2 can one shot pak,while panther can't do anything to zis.
Tiger will lose badly vs is-2.It also loses to t-34/85s with mark target.

In terms of elite infantry ost has none,while you will see multiple shock squads roaming the field by lategame.

In terms of artillery ,B4 is the best emplacement artillery in the game.If u didn't have recon and dive bomb ur in trouble.Katyusha is the best stock arty in the game by FAR.What do you have against this?Lefh poopshooter?Panzerwerfer firecracker?

Try playing ost more before making redundant comments.Ost lategame only looks super strong when it plays alongside OKW.

Must be why 100% of good streamers use it when they play ost AND okw.

S-Mines actually got a passive buff when Infantry were changed to ignore explosions. Now instead of hitting the dirt after 1-2 blasts, they happily walk into 4-5 and get wiped before you can say "Oh shit minefield!"

If blobbing was all it took to win infantry fights,soviet would have ended ww2 in 1942.Just spam human wave attacks like they did.Oh..wait those usually got crushed by german machine guns.
A heavy machine gun on a tripod with a telescopic sight and tracer rounds had a range of over 1.5 km upto 3km plus.A rifle maybe 500 yds.

In actuality - M2HB - best armor piercing performance,also has small anti building ability.Longer max firing range than other HMGs.Larger bullet calibre and massive muzzle velocity does more dmg.But 600 rpm and very heavy.

Maxim - Easy to move around due to wheeled carriage.Lowest bullet calibre and muzzle velocity.Cheap.Gun shield and weight makes traverse/cone difficult.600 rpm.

Mg34 - Not cheap.Accurate,800-900 rpm.Lowest effective fire range.Light.

Mg42 - Lightest in weight.1200-1500 rpm -highest of all.Inaccurate.Max firing range only lower than m2hb.But lacks armor penetration capability.(which for some reason it has in game)

Dshk - Heaviest with carriage,but fast to move.More survivable due to shield,but slow tarverse/cone.600 rpm. Large calibre and heavy dmg,though less muzzle velocity than m2hb.

I don't think above is fully represented in game.Maxim and mg42 shouldn't be equal in cost for example and certainly not mg34 a shit cheap mg lower cost than maxim.M2HB needs to be less suppression and more dmg,with armor piercing against light vehicles and medium rear,plus anti buildings.
