Now that the Croc is a thing: no, Paks do NOT do the AT job. The last game I lost against a Croc, I was so frustrated that I calculated the probability of killing a Croc with a Pak. Here's the numbers:
Pak chance to penetrate front armour (the armour you will always shoot since that's where the flamethrower is): 70%
Number of penetrating shots required to kill the 1400hp: 9
Chance of penetrating 9 shots in a row: 4%
Chance the croc will kill all your packs before it dies: 100%
Chance the P4 can penetrate the croc: 39%
Chance the P4 can protect your paks from the flames from hell: 0%
This is way more of a croc problem than a P4 problem
Interesting change, as now OKW grenades will be identical to molotovs in every way but somewhat faster throw speed (as in time for grenade to leave the hands of a thrower). Not really sure the incendiary is worth 37.5 munitions (well I mean you HAVE to use it but Im talking abstractly here) for being almost identical to the molotov which is only 15 in a muni floaty faction.
You'll probably hit people with incendiary nades then because the animation is not slow motion
I still remember first month of CoH2 when axis fanboys screamed with 100% serious face that HMG42 have a huge disadvantage, which was the possibility of being stolen by soviet player.
That excuse came back to justify recent buff before price increase
What's the best way to deal with/counter the centaur AA?
Mines are your best bet. Typically Centars get used very aggressively to instant wipe units (at least until they get patched). Mines damage engine without the cost of a faust + gren squad. once its slow, its pretty much dead in the water and you have to capitalize on it.
If you still are really worried about it as Ostheer get a StuG or as OKW a jagdpanzer IV
Poor Serious. His legitimate thread about a mechanically broken ability got invaded by Alex, who is to preoccupied with dodging the point of interest. Alex you bring up legitimate claims but they are irreverent to the thread. There could have been 57 KT's for whoever cares. The point is that a near dead tank avoided death by messing with the target mechanics of coh2 because it practically instant re-cloaks.
This isnt a balance whine thread you enjoy measuring dicks in all the time. Its a serious (no pun intended Kappa) thread about a broken ability.
Think of it like a bug, OH I KNOW HOW YOU'LL GET IT! think of it like the BOFORs instant killing units in buildings. Never intended, but that was the side effect of whatever they did while creating the unit
