Well the flak halftrack isn't a good solution imo. If they are soviet than they can make at pretty quick and well flak halftrack doesn't work well against brits. Your best bet is to invest the time for flanking maneuvers, or wait for the isg, or personally... if I can't take a spot because of something like this, I focus on the rest of the map. So unless they make this mg move, it is just going to sit there being useless until your isg arrives to clear it out. |
I am fan of double puma myself. Even 1 puma with supported units is excellent. I noticed *cough* someone said they sucked but I have to say that I disagree.
That being said I think battleground headquarters is better against brits overall so... JP4 like everyone else already said.
So far I have found delaying the second truck and getting a JP4 has worked well for me. I have wondered if the puma would work but I haven't exactly wanted to try it because of its lower armour. |
JP /Thread
"but i wants to lockdown a VP with Schwere HQ so i has no fuel for the JP"
There is your problem.
So basically unless I have a major fuel advantage, I should get a jp4 before my second truck. |
I would add that jpzer and stug are total hardcounters because they are both faster than centaur. They are for centaur basically what 222 is to bren carrier, unless you hit a mine or there is serious at-suppot they win 100% of times.
I'm new to coh2 so what is 222? I think my main problem is normally timings and not being prepared in time. I guess I will have to try and have the jp4 for the 10 minute mark and keep it in the back until needed.
I find centaur has sometimes decimated my ratketen(i think I spelled that right) at guns before they were able to destroy it. |
Probably anti tank.
But the centaur is an Anti air gun and tanks are for engaging ground targets. I'm so confused why I would need AT |
Like most said...it is map dependant. I'm far from pro but as a general rule(always exceptions) I find if the map is longer than wide (more room between the 2 bases than their is width) than it is safer to place your trucks further from base.
If it is wider than long...there's very little distance between your trucks and their base so it's easier to bomb or cut off reinforcements from your main. So conservative is more appropriate unless you place safe/smart. |
What's the best way to deal with/counter the centaur AA? |
Well, you let those HMG trucks push you around at first. When you ran in with your sturmpioneers to kill that rear echelon squad, you got them destroyed by the truck and didn't kill the echelon squad. You should have put them into green cover(the destroyed truck) and let them and the wagon go to town on it while reinforcements arrive. He would have probably had to pull it back from too much damage.
You let him get too many easy nades on you, like when he ran across the field at the middle VP with 2 rifleman squads. Both threw grenades at 2 separate times and both got successful hits. 20-30 seconds later, another nade hit right on your fusiliers.
I noticed you forgot about your AT gun when he charged in with his howitzer tank...it could have gotten 2-3 hits on its side armour at that point should you have turned it, and by the time you had noticed you decided to move it up the road unprotected, and therefore got it killed.
You got your panther killed because you drove it into a blob of infantry with AT rockets and their tank destroyers. Of course, I don't think he had revealed his tanks so you didn't know, but in the panther description it even says it is weak to AT infantry and to have it supported. You should have kept it in behind your infantry and just close enough to hit that howitzer. Should have brought the support gun in a little closer to bring down shells on his blobs, and once he engages with his tank destroyers, you retreat.
Then what you could have done was gather you troops(after repairs and heals) and set up an ambush on the left side, then send a unit each to cap the fuel and VP. Of course you could have done this instead of even going after his howitzer. When you went after his howitzer and lost the panther, you had something like 140 points to his 435 at that point so your priority probably should have been VP rather than eliminating a threat.
Of course I am no pro...and I am not sure what I am missing aside from making uses of things like barbed wire and mines...especially mines vs infantry blobs. I am also just writing from mental notes so I probably missed a lot. |
I have moved this thread to OKW srategies.
@ OP: because you are new, i have exercised discretion about this thread. I have, however, removed the words "possible cheat" from your title. Please now read the Site Rules at the bottom of the page, on the right hand side of your screen.
Do not make public accusations of cheating on these forums, please; one reason being, that too many accusations of this kind arise, when there is little or no foundation for them.
Thank you sir. I can sometimes forget to read the rules and don't normally like to accuse people. I didnt try to say he was but rather try and go about it in an open manner, hence why I said it may have been possible or a misunderstanding...which I've concluded it was just a misunderstanding
Thank you again,
Cheers. |
I watched this and there was no evidence that would point towards a map hack imo. His artillery targets seemed sensible every time. It looks like one was lucky into the fog of war but it was on the main road, into a high traffic intersection.
This was a good game I was horrified that you lost control of it!
I was equally horrified...that pzhq set me back so bad and that AA gun is too good against infantry |
