Free commanders when ?

Making actual parts of gameplay free when ? It's been 6 years since this game is out and there are still commanders at 4 euro for each one. Having to rely on a low percentage of drop or farming is just stupid for a game of this age.

The new ones are free and you get a fuckton of supply if you sign up to the Relic forums, but there's not much hope beyond that.

There is a Steam Page somewhere which has all the commanders except the British. Check that page when there is a deep sale on COH2 and you can get the commanders for $1 a piece.

Or you could just play the game and wait for them to drop or till you get enough supply to unlock them. It kinda sucks, but it's not an insurmountable issue.

Wish they didn't go with such a shitty business model to begin with but corporate greed is corporate greed I guess, and I'm glad at least there's some way to get it for free. A lot of default commanders are pretty strong anyway lol (airborne, armor, spec ops, royal arty).

Only the ones on Steam unfortunately, which is about half or less. The rest you can get from the in-game store and they are not on sale.

In fact, why are they not on sale? That makes me sad.

It used to be Close Air Support and Advanced Warfare, it was changed to points at some point and those commanders were added to the store.

They still have to cover server costs and the cost of a skeleton crew overseeing patches etc would be my guess.

I'm grateful the game has received support for so long tbh.
