When there is no option too get a new skin, let it use standard skins. The tank-commander is enough to indicate the ace.
Only new OKW model needs some love.
Or: Remove normal Tiger, make new Tiger-ace be the normal Tiger but with a turret-MG. OKW gets Tiger-version with the Tank-commander.

Mind that the icon already differentiates the TA from a normal tiger:
This picture is also a good example of how ridiculously out of place the skin looks.

True... sadly.
Also 5 Vet would be a good indicator, but now Ostheer's Tiger starts with Vet1 and OKW has a Tiger with 5 vets too. ^^
But, I really think there is no need for normal Tiger anymore. Replace all Ost's Tigers with the MG-Version and new stats. And OKW gets the commander on the turret and 5-Vet + extra blue-print. So they all get their individual design.
-> Tiger-Ace has to die, so Commando-Tiger can live!!! ^^

The black Tiger Ace would be cool, but I'd rather keep the yellow thing than go normal camo. It just wouldn't be very distinct.

A tank ace wouldn't risk his life by painting his tank in such an ugly, visible color, he would become the prime target for the enemy. It's not realism, man.
The solution is easy: make the current skin default, but make TA affected by skins in loadout. You can keep your distinct Tiger Ace, while I can make mine presentable.

This is probably the best solution. But I'll take anything to get rid of this hideous banana skin.

Maybe it's 'cause the Axis players aren't a bunch of forum crybabies, and they keep their cool and fight the uphill battle, unlike some of their "allied" counterparts.

Also it disgustes me that so many here were so cheerfully up for change TA's skin to ugly unrealistic black color paint. "cuz it's black and looks cool. cuz black = cool"

I agree the current skin is quite awful but the black one is just as unrealistic afaik. If anything it should get a nice looking unique ambush camouflage skin, maybe with some iconic unit number like Wittmann's Tiger 007.

I think the best option for Tiger Ace is a tiger camouflaged in a net, branches, etc.
