Accuracy was not nerfed recently.

It was nerfed ages ago, because shrecks were OP against light vehicles and could alpha strike them all the time.


OP against (light) vehicles ... more sounds like Satchel

If you got your vehicle within 10 range of AT infantry, that's on you.
Thing with shrecks was, you lose LV the moment you were in range at all.

Iirc Shreks are more accurate than zooks. Also when's the last time you saw a Shrek bounce?

Today(it was a picked up schreck by the enemy so I don't know if that counts)

The only issue that truly needs adressing is the restriction of only sweeper or shrek.

Yes, puttig away the sweeper is fun and all. But removing this feature and allowing shrek as a second upgrade would allow you to use them perfectly all game

Early cqc specialist > Mid sweeper + decent support with 3 stg > End shrek + sweeper to support armour push but very little AI left

What about a 90 ammo upgrade which contains Schreck and Sweeper but still allows you to put sweeper away ?

No it doesn't, you just made that up. 300 mp squads with a single shrek aren't a choice to make that has 0 downsides like you imply.

Plus isn't that exactly the same as REs with bazookas and sweepers and Royal Engies with Piats and sweepers?

Shrek >Zook. Sturms are very potent when they start, going from very potent AI into decent AT with the ability to clear mines when they are less good at AI is bad design. It removed the risk of double Sturm opens. It's like penal. Use them till the enemy starts with armour then you have AT. The main damage is done and you still stall out their counter. It's bad design. Right now there is a choice. Do you want to supplement your AT or clear mines? Anything that removes choice Remo es depth and that is bad design.

Sturms aren't really a decent AT since they only have one Schreck and fall like flies and in my opinion the Choice between AT and Sweeper is a bad design itself.Also I do not get how a 4 man
unit with almost no AI ability (because of Sweeper and Schreck(you won't put sweeper away when attacking enemy positions)is a nobrainer but a 5 man Royals/RE with sweeper and AT isn't ?

Zooks and piats are worse and require sideteching and doubling to be effective at all, and REs are also a garbage combat unit all game, and royal engineers come a bit later, while sturms are a very potent early game unit. Neither come as 5 men right out the gate either (so they don’t have as much of an advantage in that front).

I just don’t think it’s as fair a comparison. Case in point would be how volkschrecks were such an epidemic problem but no one who isn't an idiot ever complains about rifle zooks or IS piats because they’re both much worse (there were other factors too but they don’t invalidate the point).

I emplote you to go back and find a quote of me saying 5 man AT squads are a good idea. You'll not we are talking about changing sturms here, not sappers nor RE so the point is moot. A unit that transitions thoughtlessly is bad design, just like being able to turn 5 man ~200 or so mp squads into AT squads is a bad design. But I shouldn't have to reference bad design on other factions to say 5hisbwould be bad design.
You know why Shrek or sweeper doesn't feel right? It's because that wasn't considered when they were designed. It was moved their because of ANOTHER bad design choice (that also gave volks STGs making yet ANOTHER bad design choice because they had to stand up to great at all ranges and superior to anything rifles who could also double arm Bars which was... Yep you guessed it a bad design choice...)

But above all why should sturms who are already a great unit in their own right capable of many things including healing and fighting be able to adapt their role AND sweep for mines when EFA can't? If Ost pios want to sweep for mines they have to forfeit any chance of ever getting any more vet ever. Sturms can at least remain relevant as a flanker unit and top up armour and infantry alike. All sturms need is a vet realignment. If Tommy's need a 0.8 target size else be hopeless against the enemy while sitting behind green cover they can create and double arm Brent's and get an extra man it's hardly unreasonable to ask for sturms to get AT LEAST the same target size after vet 1 swing as they need to close for effectiveness.

I never said that Schrecks are OP in fact I even said that "Sturmpioneers aren't a decent AT unit".
