[May Patch] Remove the self spotting ability from the SU85

Permanently BannedI think that is a given. This is beyond broken. OST T3 is dead already and with the recent buffs to this unit their T4 is going to have an extremely hard time as well. Increased sight range for a glass cannon such as Jackson makes sense but for a sloped TD like this? Nah.

I am not a top player but i think T4 is suppose to counter T3 units.
And focus sight has its drawbacks, the SU85 is slower then a grandpa with a walking support:

I am not a top player but i think T4 is suppose to counter T3 units.It does counter most mediums with ease, only having minor troubles against the KT/JT

Have you even tried using the SU-85 in May Preview mod? If anything the new Vet3 SU-85 will be even worse than the current Vet0 SU-85 vs T3 units (penetration veterancy doesn't mean jack if you can already always penetrate).

Sorry for picking out part of your post to quote, but.. It gets utterly destroyed by JT. When JT enters the field, SU-85 is completely useless. Probably the soviet players fault tho, since he should've noticed the PF and not fielded any SU-85's at all.

I think you have misunderstood original post, although it poorly written and it is understandable.
If I understand correctly OP say that Wer T3 does not not work against Soviets. With changes to Su-85 T4 will work either.
I must say that I see some valid point in this. Su-85 not only will counter Tiger but will also counter Panther and totally shut down the "new" brumbar.
The Panther will be out ranged and have less sight. In addition attempting a flanking maneuver with a Panther to kill a SU-85 puts a a higher value unit at risk to kill lower value unit.
The combination of "trucking" and "focused sight" give the SU-85 the sight a stationary elephant with spotting scopes. If the sight advantage bonus of the Elephant was reduced it makes sense that the same should apply to Su-85.
Trucking is available to other units and it is to be replaced by another ability (faster rotation?)

Maybe it's 'cause the Axis players aren't a bunch of forum crybabies, and they keep their cool and fight the uphill battle, unlike some of their "allied" counterparts.

The Jackson buff isn't nearly as scary as you think it is.
Current Jackson has 35 Sight at Vet 0 and a 30% Bonus at Vet 2 = 40.5 Sight
New Jackson has 40 Sight at Vet 0 and + 5 Sight on Vet 2 = 45 Sight
The only thing that changes is that Jackson is slightly better at Vet 0-1 and slightly longer vision at Vet 2.

I think the main problem here is that you think Ostheer T3 units are worthless. This pretty much invalidates whatever you were going to say next because it simply shows that you don't really know how the game works.

The internal battery has run dry, the game can now be played. However, clock based events will no longer occur.

I only support the removal of Far-Sight if the Soviet mortar flares are patched as currently it is 50/50 if the mortar will fire the flare or dick about until you give it a new command.
Or you could just reverse your tank a bit as the Su-85 is far too slow to follow with the ability active.

a single wrong move/pathing and the su85 is gone. Furthermore self spotting makes them as fast as a grandma.
