Should Heavy Tanks Be Buffed?

I don't think it would be too bad of an idea if all heavy tanks had their armor and HP buffed to be very strong again, since we can only have one. Having only one with nerfed armor means they feel less unique and they don't have as much of an impact as they should.

Heavies are still most powerful singular tanks on the field, why would anyone want to make them even stronger?

In case OP can't tell implications:

-further limits doctrine choices, because you need to go heavy or go home
-limits BOs and strats, because its too crippling not to go heavy
-stale, predictable meta

So no, buffing heavies is not a good idea, these were not space tech, nuke absorbing chaos machines, these were heavier tanks.

Buffing the Heavies would force your opponent to answer the heavy tank with well... another heavy tank/tank destroyer to be able to have a chance, this would force people to play only 2-3 doctrines

This would lead to the old meta of heavy tank hold-outs. I'm against it.

They're more or less fine. I could argue small changes, but significant armor and HP buffs are not those.

What he said, heavies are supposed to be the spearhead of your combined arms army, you push with it, not solo your way to victory. And OP, don't confuse one with unique, veteran tiger is unique, heavy tanks are limited to only one, those are different things.

Would any one consider dropping the pop cap on tanks in general? 1-2 cap per tank/vehicle to allow for more of a combined arms type of thing. I hate getting to the late game and feeling punished "insert light vehicle" made it to the end.

Personally I think the heavy tanks are fine and it was a great change limiting to 1 per player.

Nope. Currently they function only when attached to an army. Any buffs and they would function independently of supporting forces.

If anything, they need a slight nerf. When I mean nerf, I mean their rear armour.

It's so frustrating to watch flanking mediums ping off because heavy tanks have more rear armour than a medium tank's front.

I still rememeber epic video with IS2 broken gun, almost no health and Pz4 shooting its ass like 5 times - all bounced - and finally Pz4 died :hansGASM:

IS-2 needs a change - his 122-mm gun just a lottery, in most cases it misses on a huge blob (DSHK does more damage than a gun), or don't hit PZ4 rear armor.
