Make T-34 great again Relic.

On a serious note, for how long have been people clamouring for a usable (non-doctrine specific) soviet medium tank?

How yeah...ever since they had the bright idea to push it into Tier 4.
lol, way before that. The T-34 has been pretty useless since the game came out.

How about an accuracy buff all around. Problem solved. Leave its price and tier. Done

Soviets should be about pressure through numbers in my opinion, quantity has a quality etc. 6 man squads reflect this quite well so maybe having T34/76s only buildable in pairs for a discounted cost could be an interesting idea.

Make them almost blind ( say 15 or 20m sight range) so that they have serious problems without infantry support.

it used to have utility (lol) in that ram was batshit OP and 2 t34s could take on any armour by disabling it then taking 4986 into the ass armour (accounting for bounces of course) to kill it/ allowed your zis to plink away , but to be fair they were like 50fuel or something like that back then... but i'm sure they could make 500 fuel and it would STILL suck because relic wants early war tanks to be fighting end war tanks so they CANT be on par/ better

options-
-make a tier 3.5 with those side techs that the allied factions love having exclusively so much
-replace with 85 and put in t3, increase price
-replace with 85 make call in, increase price
-buff and pretend its a final tier unit
-remove entirely and watch as no one misses it, give t70 ram to compensate
-reduce price/pop cap
-fancy side tech to reduce price/pop cap

what relic will do
-ignore because the soviet aren't making any money outside of commanders needed to allow the soviet to preform like the other factions

Lol, Commissar thinks T70 and maxim are bad, I think we've found the anti-lolcake.

Anyways, The 34/76 is pretty bad, but I feel like replacing it straight up with the T34/85 would make the SU/85 redundant. IMO, making the 34/76's MGs more consistent/powerful and making them 240/90 and buffing the SU/85 to have less RoF and more pen/accuracy would be the way to make T4 useful.

I would say to reduce the manpower to 260, I find spamming them leaves me without any manpower.

And yeah, their mg can do with a damage buff (mayby a accuracy buff as well but that may be asking to much).

I always thought that having side tech for both the t34 and su 85 would be nice for late game.

E.g Skirts for the t34/76 ( mayby something to improve its speed would be nice as well) and a SU 100 upgrade for the SU 85.

The side updrades are available in the tier 4 building and only new units woild be effected.

Think about it, you go for tier 4 with units effects against panzers and other medium tank destroyers (excluding panther) and once they begin to roll out heavy armor, you tech those units to be more effective.

P.S that also would mean upgraded units will cost more.

Just my thoughts.

Becasue being forced to choose doctrine with elite infantry or armor 90% of the time is not broken at all.

We'd like to, but relic decided its not the way and increased its pop cap to the level of all other mediums :snfBarton:
And regarding the cost, being cheap isn't worth jack if the unit is not cost effective.

T34=cheap but not cost effective.
Osttruppen=cheap and cost effective.
Greyhound=cheap but not cost effective.
222=cheap and cost effective.

Give T34 AEC MG tratment and there, fine unit, done!

Ostwind=...... Always pointing at the good thing never at the bad

Btw I would make the t 34 a 3.5 tech and kv1 as tier 4 with the pen of a t34-85

Out of the units you've mentioned, only flame hetzer is on the weaker side. :snfBarton:

On the Tier 3 it was usable as a shock unit.

T34/76 are true soviet tanks. They are only 80 fuel, create a swarm, flank enemy armor, crush enemy infantry under the mighty Soviet threads! If you want a medium tank that will perform well by just shooting at max range at enemy tanks from the front, you can go for a doctrine with T34/85s or just play axis.
