Yea munition change time is too long and AP is too underwhelming for me to ever switch to AP rounds. My suggestion would be fusioning AP rounds and concrete piercings. AP rounds would ignore light shotblockers (with attack ground, not in autofire), have medium penetration but deflection damage.

in customs with my friends (sittard..lol) i frequently think "ill go isu! that beast with show them!"
every time i remember why i don't use it in real pvp matches....
its inaccurate, slow, its AP eat ass and it means no other USEFUL call in armour

what about changing its vet 1 to a lockdown like mode that gives it a slight accuracy buff and its old all purpose shells back? much like the kv-2s mode (damage bonus when switching modes, no line of sight, static)

That would mean that the user would change round after every shot and fire twice as fast as it does now...

and i can tell you right now that it would be obscenely OP. for reference, it would be a slightly less powerful Pak43 that could move.

the simplest thing is to fix the piercing round so that it actually functions.

the problem with the ISU is that, while not as powerful as the elefant for multiple reasons, it's still a very strong vehicle AND it's effective against infantry. for those reasons it's a bad idea to buff the fire rate very much and buffing the accuracy would be really bad (more squad wipes and squad wipes are bad in a game about unit preservation). that makes the ISU tricky to buff as changes have to not make it kill things too much faster or it rapidly becomes OP. making concrete piercing more reliably, and maybe cheaper is a good start and if that's not enough then increasing the pen on the AP round is another good place.

the ISU is a very solid tank on more open maps and supported by an SU-85 or two for spotting it will shut down anything other than a pak43, elefant, or jtiger. it's definitely harder to use than most units though and the commanders have fallen out of meta for a variety of reasons and so the ISU doesn't get much use anymore.

Reload time 10 seconds (elephant is 8.68)

Switch between AP and HE to be more effective against certain targets.

Deals 240 damage.

Even through its cost more than the elephant, it should not be as orientated no way near as the elephant (I was not around when the ISU was Op but I have read enough comments lol).

Im all up for a small pen buff because its current pen means a panzer 4 with armor skirts can bounce a ISU AP round.

If the value of pen is higher than the value of armor than it will always pen.

Panzer 4 front armor is 234 therefor making it possible to bounce a ISU AP round (i have a clip if you dont believe me).

234/230=0.98/%98

234/260=1.11/%111

Im comparing it to its resource value as it does cost alot (720mp 260 fuel, locked until you reach cp 14.)

For those that dont know, the ISU concrete piercing round can go through buildings as well as be-able to be fired without sight. This has a pen value of 350 and the SAME damage (240), I do think through it should deal 320 damage as it does cost 70 muni to fire once as well as it has to be aimed.

P.s I dont think the concrete round has the pen value if you have HE rounds active, anyone can find out please?

Lol that's so sads. a 260 Fuel unit behind 14 CP can't reliably penetrate a p4. It does if it's closer. When tanks get close to ISU-152... = dead ISU-152.

ISU could do with a pen buff on the AP rounds.
Perhaps Concrete piercing shot could be a timed ability rather than a single shot.

Overall it is in a good spot.
