wehr grenadiers must be 5 men squad, comet or m4 sherman wipe grenadiers with one shot, also they are very weak against infantry section with 2 Bren

sorry if my eng is not very good :)

Hell Yes!

Like they aren'nt already easy to just rush headon and wipe... Specially rush because the last model usually tries to retread and needs to be blocked with own models to ensure wipe...

Maybe give Ostheer a bolster infantry upgrade like the one from the UKF trough tech or commander.

Unlikely since the theme for wer is defensive by nature and when you do attack you spear head with armor not infantry.

the problems are the terminator vet on the rifleman and schreck on the volks.

Grenadiers are more or the most balanced infantry in the game if you ask me. The LMG42 might be very slightly too powerful, but the unit is perfect where it is and requires no changes whatsoever.

Grenadiers were fine when there was only soviets to fight. I still believe they are fine even with the addition of UKF and USF; which is screwing with ostheers meta by forcing them to go callin heavy with mobile defense, ostruppen doctrine, etc.

Plus, grens have killer 40% accuracy vet; 5 men grenadiers would basically be obers at vet 2.

yes if you remove lmg from them and lower kar98 profile dps to match initial 4 man squad.

no if you want lmg to stay with them.

grens are certainly past their prime at the moment but i feel that that has more to do with everyone blobing right now and grens being good but expensive to get going. it's just easier to blob a couple of mg42s and then transition into later tier units than spam grens now.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. You cannot make grens a 5-man squad and just spread their current DPS across the members without a pretty big price nerf.

Just as an example, lets look at cons vs. grens. Cons have lower DPS per squad AT EVERY RANGE (this includes close).

Gren (no lmg) DPS per squad (c/f): 23.9504/ 9.0513
Con DPS per squad (c/f): 20.6440/ 5.0720

The only reason cons win at any range is because of the extra HP per squad that they have.

A 5-man gren squad with the same DPS per squad as the current squad could beat cons at any range, making conscripts pointless. This would have even farther reaching implications when you take into account the fact that the extra squad member will allow their lmg to deal even more damage before being forced to retreat.

5-man grens will require a rework of every allied base infantry in the game, as well as a price nerf if it is done in the way discussed here.
