Well thats the freaking problem... Ost sniper was bad idea agains Soviet even before it got nerfed... There's a good chance to pick up the sniper and probably do a good chunk of MP bleed to the Penals in the process. I just had OST who used that strat against me with Counter-Sniper, 222 flanking, double engis flanking, triple Grens pushing trying and even MG42 trying to make movement hard... Well got some easy demo kills, one and one captured MG42... My conclusion on the new Penal+Scoutsniper BS is that russian sniper should lose it second model and make it in bar with ost and UKF snipers... In: COH2 Balance

Takes more than one full burst sometimes. Its not slow, "it lags" for some reason Suppression is'nt immediate. Last when i tested it on my lonesome against grens it was 1 shot switch target 1 shot switch target etc etc. By the time you hit second target the first is suppressed. (targets were in the open.) It needs micro but ffs so does MG42 (You cant just shoot at a tank trap and trust that everything is suppressed in that general direction anymore). Just wow... Last time i tried to push housed Vickers from 3 different direction with volks it just suppressed them far before they got near enought to nade it... MG42 stops and reloads after the second squad have been suppressed... Definetently lets nerf it down to MG42 standard... with Maxim i can somewhat understand your frustration. (haven't tested it much after nerfs) Feels like Mg34 afraid to touch it to make it shoot another unit because gunner usually goes full retard after that either starting to read operation manual on turning the damn thing into the wrong direction (because he didnt read the operation manual?) Comparing scout-sniper usage to Ost and UKF sniper even pre-nerf ones. Scouts-sniper screened with penals is a easy mode. (okay never quite got that UKF one to work for me) Sniper just makes enemy bleed by just being with penals. It kills MGs before they can hurt anyone and forces enemy to try and bumrush it only to be obliterated by penals. Scout and Kubel counter, well those PTRS are quite good at making you think otherwise. Only decent counter is to manage to survive to 3 tier and start capitalizing the lack of zis... However, this is very dangerous. There is a way to reduce the danger swap the Medics with Rear Echelons. It should still heal and reinforce while still having the medics back at base ready to heal infantry squads that retreat. What do you all think? Could this work or is it not worth? Tried it couple of times. Killed those medics unknowlingly because they seem to follow infantry that is not healed completely. In: COH2 Gameplay
