Thread: Grenadier survivability buff - Target priority7 Jul 2016, 10:50 AM If it would be all units, well, Pios would be faster to repair, wiping suppressed units and building, Pgrens might just walk next to a troop losing 1 model on the way and killing the other squad. Why i said tier 4? well because if it would give more life for them in the late game. and IF it would overbuff them that would not be so bad because the impact would come later when there are other thing in hand to kill them. Seriously, in first 3 minutes: Brit brings MG, USF brings Mortar/riflemen SOV brings MG/cons And you dont even bring any OST MG, sniper, and mortar to the game is like playing both hands behind your back. I'm quite sure if elephant is making hard game for you it would have been harder if the resouces and pop cap would have been used for more useful units. Yeah its a thing that usually needs tracks below it to work. - I know the feel about that unit when playing ost it feels like they don't have a impact because you need to retreat them before the battle starts. --> This is usually lack of combined-arms effort - I also know the feeling when fresh Pgrens hit me. and they are wiping machines when used right. If they had better survivality against small arms they could just walk next to infantry and wipe them with no effort. --> Comparing them to stg stormtroopers they have a lot better survivalibity. You wanted it to have upgrade to AI so it should not be AI unit before that. or did you mean you build it as a AI (STG) unit and then upgrade it with 120 munition to be a deathstar like having as good stats as: Thompsons ranger on the close range? Put two next to a halftrack, that's roughly equal to the manpower cost of a mortar pit + squad inside, and then bomb it until it's down. Fun fact, if you add a pak to that you can attack ground the bofors and reinforce the losses you take from the barrage to destroy both emplacements simultaneously. Then when his emplacements are both destroyed, you have units you wanted to get anyway and he has just lost ~800 manpower. Hmm.. I don't recall that pinned mortar shoots at all and if they aren't pinned the manpower bleed when they do that thing you wrote is enormous. Maybe just give a slight push with Infantry sections next time to fall the card tower down. Or did you mean that brit only has 1 mpit, 1 bofors and 1 sappers? then the brit have lost the game long before that spot. In: COH2 Balance

Right now, relying on Pgrens for AI is extremely cost inefficient. I don't see how nerfing PGs to have k98 on start helps to solve balance issues. In: Lobby
