T34-76 Veterancy
Posts: 830
There is another problem with the veterancy of the T34-76, namely that it gets pretty much nothing for killing big targets. In this game I had a T34-76 that had 12 infantry kills, did a lot of damage to many tanks, killed a vet 1 Tiger I and killed a vet 3 Panther, both of which it did more damage to than just the last killing blow. It was just over 80% to veterancy 3 after even more engagements. This is beyond lackluster, especially when you consider it doesn't affect anything apart from movement speed and frequency of fire. Keeping this unit alive is a pain in the ass, even more so when it takes ages to actually get it to vet 3, which again doesn't do much.

the unit should not be pure RNG if it has to gain something of value(or something to make it worth a dam)
i believe the T34-76 should receive an Armor increase along with a price increase(same with the t34-85) this will make it more of a "i take shots unit"(aka "HEAVY" tank) and allow the infantry to advance

or a complete rework of this unit... together with penals...

T34/76´s are so cheap that you just use them to kill infantry while your AT gun wall will stop all enemy tanks, the unit is FINE! (if you lose 4 T34´s you can just replace them easily, 80fuel for a tank is nothing!)
but 300mp means alot ALSO the unit is not good at anything ,not even flanking
a rework of the unit is required

well the T-34 needs buffs we can all agree...
T-34-76 need ram fix. T-34-76 need normal usefull 1 fet skil. T-34-76 is unnecessary as the T4 unit. And maybe some buffs. Need to change so much that easy to leave T-34-76 in his grave.
Apparently, devs think so and are not going to do something with it.
BUT vet doesnt seem to be the place

You think this not it is not enough for 300 mp/80 fuel tank ?

300MP is cheap for a medium tank, even one of the weakest...

You do realize how much work and micro goes in to even getting the tank to that kind of veterancy level, to even get it to kill a tiger and a panther whilst doing damage? It is one of the most micro intensive units if you consider the reward it gives you, which usually isn't even shock value since it is coutnered the moment it hits the field

Onto the tank itself:
T-34/76: Boost up its machine guns to give it more consistent AI power to make it better at guarding the support weapons and SU-76 and/or SU-85 against incoming infantry well the main gun deals with soft vehicles.
Or
Give T-34/76 tanks a bonus when fighting near each other to make them a pack tank where they are weak alone, but very effective in groups. It'd be like USF Radio Net, but the bonuses would be more noticeable. Probably limited it up to 3 tanks in terms of stacking the bonuses.
As for veterancy, if it really is a problem, I don't really notice as Vet 1 can be ignored for a ton of units, just move some of the requirements back slightly, though if it got the buffs above, it'd be dishing out more damage which means more experience.

Revamp vet 1 for the majority of the EFA factions.

I would like to see 20% reduced veterancy requirements for T34/76, KV1 and a 10% faster gained experience bulletin for ALL Engineer units.
10% faster Experience for Engineer troops can be achieved when you upgrade them with a flamethrower, their veterancy will sky rocket when they hit something with their flamer, kinda like a infantry squad with a Panzerschreck

Yeah, but I don't always want a flamethrower on my engineer.
