How can the t34 become a part of the meta?

There is a clear lack of the t34-76s ever being built in games for multitude of reasons. Even after the cost changes, its still considered one of the worst performing mediums in the game. Often skipped for su-76s, t70s, kv-8s, and IS-2s.

I don't like how these tanks are left out; especially since they were such iconic figures in the war period yet most people just skip to 85's instead of building them. So how does one make it a part of the meta to the point the average player would be intrigued to tech towards t4 just to make t34s?

I still use them. But mostly as suicide tanks, because not really good vs infantry, nor are they good vs tanks. Hard to get veterency.

yep. it is so shitty that the ram starts to look useful again.

i mean, i like the strength in quantity ideal but i think it sucks so bad still.

They either need to be cheaper (manpower wise) or stronger.

If you actually get t4 they aren't so bad, most players don't go for t4 though.

They are :romeoHairDay:

It should be slow teching up, light vehicles, then slowly, slowly, BOOM spam of dirt cheap T-34s, but with current problems it's not how it's supposed to be :snfPeter:

Reduce manpower to 280 or so. Make Ram stun both tanks with current damage. Buff MGs to make them the primary killer of infantry rather than the main gun.

If we really want to make them be a quantity over quality tank, make them get bonuses when fighting near other T-34/76s. A sort of horde bonus that makes lone T-34s weak, but deadlier when in packs than they normally are. So essentially Sherman radio net, but more powerful, needs no vet, but only accepts other t-34/76s.

Now this is a really good idea. This needs to be added. :megusta:

if you don't lose them and get about 4 of them... it's can be awesome
and the sad part - it's almost every time you don't get this critical mass

Its one hell of a way to scare an opponent. If he sees one T-34/76 then there are more than one nearby.

This. I watched a Romeo NKVD game (lol) where it took 4 T34/76 almost a minute to chase and kill a Luchs. Not good at all.

Reduce reload. Reduce cost further, and make ram better, also fix vet requirements. This would probably put the t34 in a pretty good spot.

I gave it a go in 2v2s last night.

It is perfectly viable to spam them. If you are using Soviet Reserve Army, you will guarantee a damaged engine on whatever tanks your partisans hit, then you can swarm with the T-34s.

Because of the 80 fuel cost, it is easily possible to spam them, it may not be as strong as the P4, but its strength is in numbers.

They need to be cheaper and actually pen. They honestly should be more like a t34 85.

Yeh I just don't understand why a tank that requires 2 (with good micro) or 3 with sub-par micro to kill a single P4 is 300 manpower. One okw schreck volley takes it down to close to half health...wouldn't be so bad if schrecks didn't have pin point accuracy even at the edge of fog of war. The Russian engineers take ages to repair anything. the t34/76 is just not worth it...which is funny because there were so many of them built as an army.

The gas cost is good, no need to change it. I think they need to make the t34-76 just a t34-85 for it's current cost or lower it to at least 270-280 manpower.
