Why have a doctrinal unit that has a MACHINEGUN, but don't let it do damage? It makes no sense. It makes even less sense when you factor in the current situation of the mg34, its suppression is shit.

MG34 to suppress + Sturm to deal damage. If you increase MG34 damage you have to reduce sturm ones.

I think a lot of people are missing the fact that it costs more than a squad of Ostruppen but does 1/6th the DPS of one at far. There is zero excuse for it's current DPS profile or it's suppression profile.
Increasing the cost to 240 while buffing it would be fine, but right now it has zero redeeming qualities.
Maybe it's 'cause the Axis players aren't a bunch of forum crybabies, and they keep their cool and fight the uphill battle, unlike some of their "allied" counterparts.

DPS isn't it's main role, though. It's supposed to suppress blobs, and it does that better than a maxim while costing less than a maxim. The maxim has other advantages but I don't think the MG34 is really such a bad unit.
