That is the opposite of how OKW is supposed to be played. OKW has the worst defensive options in the game due to lack of a capable MG, no viable emplacements outside of the Pak43, and the fact that you have no area denial outside of the Schwer HQ (which isn't super hard to destroy). Your supposed to use your trucks as spring boards to maintain constant unrelenting assaults that were your enemy down to nothing.

Unit preservation is everything; you cannot afford squad wipes at any period in the game nor can you afford armor losses. Late game power comes from the efficiency offered by 2 extra levels of Vet not invincible tanks.


I consider a solid forward HQ as the best area denial - especially on bigger maps. OKW just happens to have access on one from the very beginning, non-doctrinal ofc.

usf is strong with combined arms tactics, but no one actually uses combined arms cause players usually only tech 2 officers instead of 3.

OKW early game faction? The fuck?
OKW does have the best early game, nothing beats kubels and sturms that early. They pretty much get to take whatever point they want right off the bat. USF the supposed other early game faction usually doesn't catch up til they tech.

OKW is kind of a early game and late game faction, with their greatest weakness being in the mid game.

Clustering all your shit around 1 HQ will lose you map control, and then the game. You need to spread your shit to win. It's an obvious truck that's easy to punish overextending with.

Interesting poster. First time I've seen the UKF shield. Not sure what I think of it. The OKW and USF shields were so epic... they make the UKF shield just look kinda meh.


IIRC, it also has "Royal Army" on it. Annoys the hell out of me.

Yeah, because USF also needs to maintain an armor advantage as well because they rely on numbers. The 50. cal isn't going to help you when panthers start rolling in.

Technically I think this is the only time I've seen something official call the East Jerries "Ostheer". Or was there something long ago that I've missed?

But it should be Ostheer.

The suggestion that Relic said they liked best was just removing the ability to salvage the Mad Max kubel wreck.

Maybe in 2v2, but in 1v1 try doing that and winning consistently. :foreveralone:
