Hey guys,

we all know it. Even the biggest axis fanboy knows it. This tank comes as t4 unit way too late and is useless in late game, also after the fuel decrease. I think it needs a redesign.

Whats your opinion?

No, its fine. If you rush a T34/76, it will hit the battlefield at around the same time as a rushed P4.

It costs 80fu, which means that it is meant to be shitty, but easily replaced. Quantity has a quality in and of itself.

Yes but shooting two minutes at a MG-42 and miss really is a little to shitty...

It should just get lower popcap. Its a very good vehicle for cost now, but because of the popcap it's still not feasible attaining that critical mass of mediums to flank axis heavies and stuff.

It has 12 popcap, same as PIV. I think it should have like 9 or 10 popcap.

Agreed, Popcap seems like a very overlooked means of balancing things out. Popcap as a whole could use a rework.

this. medium tank needs a pop adjustment. The 75mm sherman and t34 76 shouldn't take up the same pop as the superior pziv.

The T34/76 could probably perform slightly better but most certainly doesn't require a massive overhaul. Giving the main gun the same scatter as the P4's 75mm (0.5 decrease in scatter) and increasing the hull MG dps by 4 to match the P4's would probably be enough of a buff.

Another factor to consider is that while the T34 only costs 80FU now it still takes up the same popcap as a P4 (12 pop) so realistically it will never outnumber other medium tanks. Reducing the pop to 10 or even 8 (the Stug is 20MP cheaper and 10FU more expensive but only costs 8 pop) could seriously help the T34 in it's intended role as a numerous but inferior medium tank.

I'd agree to that. If it will never come back to T3, then perhaps it needs a slight buff.

Its fine.

It could use 2 less popcap, but otherwise its fine for the price.

cmon 80 fuel... what do you want more?
I think it is totally fine if you look at the price of other medium tanks (P4,Sherman)

Perhaps +10-20 fuel and make it more reliable in dealing dmg and a bit better in survival.

Any sort of damage/scatter buffs would mess with balance as they can be so deadly en mass or rushed but totally a popcap reduction, without a shadow of a doubt. Think of the lesser crew ;)

I play various strats, when I'm going for 34/76 I don't really struggle with getting a pair.
Its still too menpower expensive to make any use of industry, but 34/76 is much more affordable which allows you to actually outspam opposing armor and use inferior tank with numerical advantage. Simply, get a pair and either compliment it with SU-85/katy or SU-76 which should still be alife.

Single one was underwhelming since forever, in numbers, which it can finally achieve, its fine.

Give it back the old ram, or at least make ram damage opponents engine. That'd be great to punish panthers which are what this tank really struggles with. Panthers can just reverse so easily that flanking with groups doesn't even work, and you have no hope penning the front. It's the matchup of this tank vs anything beyond a p4 that makes this tank obsolete in the late game. With old ram you could translate a numerical advantage into something useable.

Just nerf axis smoke not to affect close range. T3476 would be close to OK.

Not as a rush unit (if i go T4 first on teamgames, it's probably for a Katy), but as a follow up. Couple T34s before you go either IS2 or ISU.

It is a trash but for 80 fuel the ability to engage everything and do everything albeit shittily is fair. Ram can really be a clutch play.

You have used it a lot of times in your 1 game as Soviets?

On topic:

Performance/price is fine. It does however need a pop-cap reduction as 12 is too much for this unit. You need to use this unit in numbers for it to deal with axis tanks but you can't right now.
