yea you did, but who'd care to waste time clicking on kill button to show all kills when in CoH1 you got all kills on one screen?

I personally think that having a mouse over button is much better. Free's up space for other things.

haha yes, they save space by hiding the kill count so that they can fill it with useless stretches of UI that show zero information and cover up the battlefield

Ye that really should be upgrades, units, building, reinforcements ...
Now that is in a small bar, which hurt my eyes too look at. Then you have to read the resources then the other way again to the minimap, the battlefield ... UGH JUST UGH DISGUSTING. I WILLL TAKE 10 SHOWERS A DAY NOW UGH.

If the game has gone gold how is it then possible to have a beta? Alpha, beta then gold, when it's ready to be released. Or have I misunderstood the principles of game development?

Yes, but there's been said that a open beta is coming which I'm sure you are aware of. But if the alpha and beta stage of the game has already been completed and the game has gone gold there shouldn't be a beta, you would just call it a demo or something...

Though a demo and a beta is pretty much the same thing nowadays.

Yes, technically it can't be a beta unless they will be giving us an older, none-gold version of the game, which would suck but whatever. It would indeed be a pre-release demo.
