The larger squads aren't really that big of a counterbalance to the higher DPS of German units. THey still die very fast due to the fragility of the units. THe 6 man squads are only better at not getting squad wiped by aoe weapons


By the end of the day vs vet 5 obers, allied vet 3 6 man infantry is just a MP sink :(

I think the problem is that obers are just too good at all range, on the move, and are even quite resistant to small arms, due to either armor or received accuracy modifier (don't have the stats).

Most lmg and squads seem to have some advantages but not all of them, or at least aren't suppose to. lmg42 and browning are very potent but only fire when still, and afaik lmg42 becomes less powerful against close targets.
shock are very strong upclose and have good armor but suck beyond point blank range
Pgrens are strong upclose and at medum range, and quite good on the move, while being a bit tougher than average infantry.

Bars, since they are supposed to be less potent, can fire on the move.
Also riflemenn, guards and grens aren't too hard to bleed andinflict casualties on. Allied infantry as a whole doesn't seem to be particularly durable.

obers seem, on the othr han, to have it all, and let's not even talk about IR stg44...

OKW is such a powerful faction. Cheap base infantry that carry schrecks and nondoctrinal elite infantry...every unit scales extremely well too...

Now lets look at Soviets... crappy cons, no nondoc elite infantry.. gosh...

Obers counter everything ... a-move into my gs, mortars, ZiS, etc.....

the shitty part is that they snipe models so fast, your guys are in an infinite loop of trying to pick up the weapon, and then they all die

They have a counters. Their counters just cost more then they do and you need them to also counter the enemies tanks.

What exactly is allied infantry even good for late game. They can't fight obers, they can't fight tanks, and they can barely fight volks after a while.

5 consecutive posts of allied whineboys crying when everybody has lost interest in this cluster fuck of a thread. if the okw where so op why do we see the soviets have the highest win rate in 1vs1. and dot other with 2vs2 or that some kind of crap because that doesn't take any skill.

people lost interest because relic aint doing shit to balance stuff out. too afraid to move i suppose because of axis fanbois who form the bulk of the community.

Then its soviets followed very closely by wehr, then its USF.

Will you for once spit something that is true?

Shock troops are also dedicated infantrty hardcounter and guess what? Can be countered by infantry of similar cost. Same can not be said about Ubersoldaten.

That defies the very definition of hardcounter. I'd argue that Shock Troopers are short-range specialists, not a Counter to all infantry ever.

Kiting counters shocks. Any infantry squad with a rifle or LMG can counter shocks. Shocks are very situational, due to only being effective at very close ranges. If they get close, retreat.

Obers are good at everything, and at all ranges, just because of the lmg (lmg's in general on both sides are OP, and need to be toned down slightly), however lmg34 is just a different league.

I've picked them up on various squads and they just decimate everything, no matter who is holding them.

Therefore, I don't think Obers are the actual problem, it's the lmg which they hold that is the problem (like all lmg's).


The only effective counter to Obers that don't cost fuel, are snipers. Just don't make any mistakes, because surprise surprise, Obers counter snipers too. Or I guess you can pray to the RNG god and hope for a lucky mortar strike.

List them then. Pg's lose to shocks unless in green cover. 480 and 120 ammo can still lose to a shcoktrooper at cc range. obers are the only unit in their price range that can single-handedly defeat a shocktropper squad at long range.

Lmg grens still have rifles right? By the time shocks hit, you should have at least 2 Grens (at least one with Lmg's), One kites, other fires, thus kiting the shocks will win you the engagement. If you haven't got at least one lmg gren, you're either doing something very wrong, or they went full retard and built T1 into shocks. If so, then you'll have a 222 anyway, which shocks can't deal with.

Are you also aware you don't have to be stationary like lmg grens, for the lmg34 to be effective too?

No offence man, but you are living in lala land. Decently microed shocks handily defeat 2 gren squads 9 times out of 10, and no Soviet player worth his salt will chase a non-lmg gren squad while an lmg gren squad is shooting at him.
