Hi, im just wondering if I should start playing again. Has western fronts made the game better and is it worth a buy. Does it feel more like vCoH now?

Thanks

It did during Alpha and the end of Alpha, but because of the things they changed between end of Alpha and Launch in it's current state I'd say no, once they get things back to being actually balanced properly and start listening to the community again (they listened during alpha but ignore us during live it seems) then yes.

It will never feel more like vCoH, because it doesn't have much with vCoH in common.

Its entirely different game and to me it have surpassed original some time ago already.

I'm not a fan of the mixed game types. For me it has changed the game into a fantasy RTS rather than a WW2 RTS. The gameplay is alright at least, if not that the game is very stale because everyone uses the same optimal doctrines and build orders.

Yes you should start playing again. The expansion is amazing. Even the people who are complaining are probably actively playing and having fun.

Yes. The game is incredibly fun. Though I don't understand why people think that COH2 will only be good when it's like vCOH.

Yes, it is good fun and the new factions provide with new ways to play the game. Diffrent game modes provide diffrent challanges for each faction, and the new matchup and combined arms or the new armies is very refreshing and interesting. Some builds are more used than others, and some units will need further tuning. Still, that is always the case.

With the addition of the new factions balance is a bit wacky right now, but still a lot better than when coh2 first came out.

The game play and mechanics of the game are MUCH better than they used to be, plus Relic is listening a lot to the community. So yeah WFA is a huge improvement.

The only (and big) negative point I've found is that in 2vs2 the current metagame revolves around blobing infantry. If you don't blob you will be engulfed by your enemies blobs.

It's kinda boring. Waiting for a balance fix to punish that gameplay style.

Agreed with this, mostly the fact that they moved the M15 to Lieutenant and the Panzer II to Heavy Panzer Corps. As a result the M15 comes out way too early while the Panzer II comes out way too late.

To be fair I don't recall the part about Soviet Doctrine that included using Flamethrowers in Scout Cars to attack the Wehrmacht because their AT didn't arrive yet.
