OKW T3 Mech needs a buff for the early reliance on flak HT, and the inevitable game loss if you lose it.
And now the KT is essentially useless as its cost/effectiveness compared with the IS2 is highly skewed.

The rifle company is the "real" only good doctrine. All other are crap, except the Priest one in 4v4 artyfest.
lol no.
Because double M191911 para's combined with P47 skill planes is still the most unused automatch default usf doctrine as of late right?
Rifle company are for noobs who rely on early vet rifleman to win an already easy usf early game, just for them to whine when their EZ8 spam looses to a decently microed axis player.
Fix the call in meta. |
There were more Pershings that were deployed in Europe than there were Sturmtigers built. That along with KV-8's. Every German player gets Panther G's- that's the only model resembling something "good"- while the US has to spend actual cash or get lucky if they want the E8. Not much better with the Soviets and the T-34-85. Shit, 2 of the core Ostheer tanks- the Sturmpanzer 4 and the Ostwind- saw incredibly short production cycles, but apparently its a problem for the US to get even an M4A3E2? How about an AT gun worth a shit? Bazookas?

So there was a map hack used?? Can anyone 100% confirm?? |
I feel like everyones getting off topic here..
KT should be reverted back to at lest 400 armor, the sole fact remains that it does not proportionately line up with the cost of its allied equivalent, the IS2.
I think 25+ armor buff would settle the dispute. |
+1I agree with OP on how OST lags behind when teching into T2. It is very difficult to destroy a well micro'd M20 with just fausts when the vehicle crew gets repair crit.
I've found T3 highly effective though if you skip T2 and wreck USF with stugs/P4's |
Nothing is more annoying when your heavy tank (Like a slow KT) is chasing an enemy tank, and your kt starts swiveling its turret to shoot at the, rifleman or even an enemy vehcile (if toggle is turned on) or some unimportant unit that its passing, and by the time you catch up to the chasing tank, you KT is aiming backwards:/
I know this can be avoided by targeting an enemy unit in the direction of where you would like the turret to face, but sometimes there are no enemy units in front of you.
Would an attack ground command face the turret in the general direction youd like to face? The only downside is then you must reload.
Has anyone else experienced this?

This. Giving Grenadiers a fith man would be the wrong approach because the problems with this faction lie elsewhere. The inability of the MG42 to supress, the sniper beeing knocked out by just looking at it, the lack of proper maps for Ostheer, the overpriced teching along with the usual bad early game for them, ...
I like the 4 man Grenadier squad. It actually feels a bit historically acurate and unique and makes infantry engagements very tactical as you have to care about each member, rather than just moving my blob of 5 model Volks forward. Ostheer is designed as a faction which relies heavily of combined arms and I'd like to keep it that way (in fact more factions should be like that).
This.
Luvnest could not have put it any better, Increasing main infantry unit size will only promote noob axis blobers. Ostheer needs decreased teching costs, and a rework of the mg42 and sniper. |
- No truck at start
- Choose truck and pay for it right away as you call it in
- Push whatever you want with truck you've already paid for
/thread
Right because paying twice for a teching structure is definitely the better solution here.

So, run away from truck into building, get out of the build to run away from SP, get suppressed by Kubel, retreat. First engagement won by OKW.
Man you must have a lot of problems as allies huh?
You know you can make more than 1 unit in the first 5 minutes, so while your first RE jumps in a building, your 90 second 2 rifleman come flanking and completely obliterate the lone SP, and if your lucky maybe kill his truck too.
Dont whine on the forums if your problem is lack of strategy.
