Thread: Will CoH2 ever support double screen user ? 13 Aug 2014, 19:32 PM I use two monitors on my setup, and currently play the game with coh2 fullscreen on one monitor and my other monitor just sits open, dis allowing me from scrolling over unless I windows + M over. I wish coh2 had functionality for -noborder -windowed launch options like valve games do, so you can scroll to your other screen without the game closing (complete pain in the ass atm) In: COH2 Gameplay
Thread: US Campaign: ARDENNES ASSAULT 13 Aug 2014, 19:25 PM Player choices are crucial as every decision will not only impact the story but also their Company with upgrades and Veterancy carrying over from mission to mission. With limited soldiers under your command, you must manage their lives and well-being effectively or risk losing that Company for good. This seems like they designed the campaign for you to be able to re use units that retain veterancy, and I guess only allowing you to build a certain amount of units, adding smaller pop caps to more valuable units in the game. Seems like an interesting design change, can't wait for the release. In: COH2 Gameplay

Compared to Priests or Stuka zu Fuß, they are usually killed after one shot (reconaissance flight and some off-map-arty) and are neither exact nor deadly enough to be worth the dough. Any other experiences? Regarding off-map artillery, my problem is not with it per se but with the general emphasis on artillery in general. It's the combination that kills, IMHO. Indirect Artillery Fire is not anywhere near "under powered" as you think, i.e. 7.5cm inf support gun or 75mm pack howitzer. A lot of the times simple gun emplacements like these can turn the tide on early small(or large) infantry battles, punishing blobbing of units in cover and what not. In no way do I see units like these losing their combat value or importance in the battlefield. In: COH2 Balance

Buildings in CoH 2 are supposed to be slow and boring to clear out, unless you pay munitions for a grenade or get a flamethrower in close enough. That's their purpose. They give people a chance to delay the advance of infantry, at the cost of remaining immobile. I feel this would give a lot more purpose to the now under used assault engineers/assault grenadiers/panzer grens as most people cannot efficiently flank units properly on most maps, this would allow infantry to pass through buildings instead of being forced to go around/avoid entirely. I feel like garrisoned combat is currently kind of boring and slow in this game, where units can enter a house and permanently lock every entrance into the building until ordered to exit/killed. I think if certain infantry (assault infantry) were given the ability to invade garrisoned buildings to clear them out, would look and feel a lot more satisfying then standing next to the windows shooting in the building. There could even be like a tug-of-war type meter above the building when invaded, that displays who's winning in a garrisoned fight. I feel like this would definitely make garrison combat more interesting. Thoughts? In: COH2 Gameplay
