so i noticed that they cost 55 mp to reinforce :O

isnt the reinforce cost usually 1/2 unitcost/entities?

i didnt check if it actually costs 55, because i was always busy fighting, but it says so in the tooltip

is this intentional? if so why?

Might have something to do with them being one of the most cost effective infantry at all ranges(their G43s are amazing at long range).

Might be a leftover after they were still a 3 men squad.

But still I would rather prefer if they got maybe around 40mp reinforce and increase their mp cost for call in. It just seems like a bug to me.

Reinforce cost is related to the squad cost and number of people in squad.

If they still do cost 55, its most likely an oversight after they were changed from 3 men squads of Rambo, Terminator and Chuck Norris into current 4 men squad.

They are indeed currently 55MP each. More than Obers. For a 290MP unit, it's sort of painful.

At least it's cheaper than just buying a new squad (just).

Following usual cost convention, I suppose they would normally cost 36/7?

Isn't it normally half the full squad cost for a full reinforce?

290/8=36.25

I'd say 39 or 40 would probably be more fair, given the G43's they all come with, but just following convention.

hell 40 would be fine. 55 makes them too much of a reliability in my eyes. also why the heck dont they get the doctrinal grenades? theyre 4 guys. cant be that strong, can it?

Why are they 290 Manpower? oO

I mean, I heavily disagree with the pricing of this unit. 200MP to call in for a unit that has 440MP value. That's like the definition of a throw-away squad you call in behind the enemy to wipe 1-2 squads and then let it die, since sustaining it is too expensive.

If they dropped the reinforce to normal levels and upped the unit cost to 320/340, I'd be pretty happy. They'd still be perfectly viable. And you could actually lose some models without bleeding all your MP forever

4 man, 4 G43 rifles, sight range of scout infantry and the ability to scavenge, sprint, set booby traps and deploy from neutral buildings.

Pretty good. Reinforce cost is a pain right now, but they're great to keep around on spotting duty. Vet gets them passive cloak in cover, to boot. No hold fire, though, which I lament.

i see. and totally no nades, which is kind of strange. i've used them few times on compstomps just to check it out and they seem to die pretty quick.

No armour, so they're squishy, so keep them in cover with a volks screen. Once they vet up those G43 are brutal- they're also a great option to pop out and then immediately stick into a building to help alleviate the squishyness problem.

LoS is where they really shine, though. Long view ranges aren't all that common in OKW, and it offers great spotting for field guns/Jagdpanzers.

Actually sounds like it's leftover from their old unreleased interpretation, where they belonged to Ostheer as a 5 man squad with old G43's.

Hefty price, but I think it's better than waiting forever to reinforce like Sturmpioniers. It also encourages players to not waste them in a front-up fight, but rather keep them back. They already cost 290MP and at High Resource start, you can immediately deploy them. I think it's a fair compromise, considering they aren't super durable. They can keep a squad or two at a distance, but it's not like they can suppress or use grenades.
I actually find them a bit odd to be able to salvage wrecks. Grenades would be more realistic.

You forgot about their ability to infiltrate like snipers.

ah so maybe they didnt adjust their price. i think they should cost about the same as pgrens (so higher deploying cost, lesser reinforce cost than they have now) since at vet 2 they also get a -received accuracy modifier, which is awesome!
