I completely agree with this. I don't think it's fair at all that in order to counter SPGs I need to play the game. What if they defend them? Where's the fun in that? I need to be able to click 1 button and have the game counter them for me with no effort at all and no counterplay at all. Fix it LELIC.

Let's be honest here, artillery tracking in the fog of War is not fair whichever way you look at it.
If it functioned like the old CoH British counter battery, which I don't know why it didn't but anyway, I don't think there would have been an issue at all to begin with.

Just fixing it to stick to the origin of the first shot would been nicer, but if it cannot be fixed... It's gone for the reason.

I can assure you it was decided to replace Counter Barrage long before Skippy launched his campaign.

I noticed the Universal Carrier no longer costs 5 fuel on the test patch. Not sure if the change was intended or a bug. Would make the 221's life much harder imo if it didn't cost fuel.

CB isnt a SPG counter in any real way, its massive bonus damage, accuracy into FoW, lack of micro, and how much it hurt low level vs high level players was incredibly problematic. Discounting its weird FoW tracking. I have the math if you want it. The new howi abilities look really nice.

Just because it existed for a time does not mean it didn't need changed. The game is not supposed to play itself, if you would like one that does there are a number of them. Coh is supposed to be about player input. Pressing a button that says "we will punish the enemy if they use any unit of this type they will be punished with the loss of said unit and you don't have to do anything after clicking this for the rest of the game" is poorly designed. The tracking was simply the cherry on top that said even extra micro from the enemy cannot spare them the game playing itself.
You want to punish the enemy for having indirect you will have to earn it now instead of the game handing it to you.

Axis boys did the same to the demo. And okw got a mobile and stealthy one in return.

At this poibt I am waiting for beta to go live before doing 2v2 pvp again. I feel that if I go back to old pvp I will be unprepared and then I will also not be prepared for pvp when the beta goes live, of which the changes to the game seem very big to me
Also doesn't help I need to find the time to dedicate to the game. But if I can, I look forward to this new update going live

Sanders recently said they wanted to release a new build but it kept crashing, so they have to fix that first.
