OKW have problems healing infantry. Only sturmpios or the Healing HQ can do that. Aaaaand since the Kubel is a unit that is rarely seen beyond minute 5 or so, it would be a nice idea to give the Kubel the ability to drop medkits, just like Sturmpios, making the unit more viable. :D

The kubel late game is viable but not for the reasons you think. Once scary LV start to show up, just use it to cap things on your side of the map and activate the maphack ability 24/7.

It works better for people who goes for a Stuka and play with tactical map.

I agree with you. Going stuka first would be a nice idea because you can combine it with a medkit-kubel and maphack ability.

Step 1: Make Kubel a UKF unit

Step 2: Add the secret ingredient

Step 3: Kubel becomes viable and its in a good spot right now

Step 4: Move it back to OKW roster

1. Give kubel a heavy crush.
2. Give it a ram ability.
3. Add armour piercing rounds not as an ability but a permanent state.
4. Add muni paid upgrade increasing health and armour to Tiger 1 level.
5. After upgrading all battle trucks allow kubel to replace it's mg with a Flak 88.
6. Enjoy the new wunderwaffe.

Edit: 7. The crew could throw at grenades around it (in a similar way to UKF tanks)
Edit: 8. It could get smoke repairs - the blenkorper grenades would be dropped on all units shooting at kubel while it is being repaired, while stuka dive bombers would recon and attack enemy bases until the ability finishes.

Only if you manually "reverse-shoot ground". A move similar to the Starcraft Marines Stutterstep and, due to its micro-intensity, only being used in high level pro matches for pop cap reduction.

But a more serious idea. It really could have some new infantry ram ability. With maybe Soviet tripwire mine effect.

You don't provide any benefit to teammates but at least you are more sneaky with it. People can't know you know where their units are.

For people who don't use TACT map it sucks though.

Kübel, as what is it, is outdated in CoH. I don't see any way to fix it as scout.

- It could get same ability as SdKfz. 250, hull-down with suppresion on the MG.

edit: historal nonsense... but we have larger problems in CoH
