Why would an tank ace stick with an inferior tank(no turret, weaker gun and armor) when he can switch to a more powerfull vehicle? You don't give veterans inferior equipment, you actually give them a higher priority regarding advanced weapons/vehicles so that you can combine powerfull weapons with experienced soldiers. But assuming this is actually becoming a thing(for a mod, not the base game) what would be its stats/abilities? In: COH2 Gameplay

Cons can keep their regular heavy cover buildable, but other factions have their regular Hcover sandbags replaced with light cover buildables instead. Thread: [Winter Balance Update] General Discussion28 Nov 2020, 09:57 AM '' All Allied Transport Half-Tracks (M5 Half-track and M3 Half-track) A feature update to encourage the usage of non-upgraded transport half-tracks by acting as an alternative source of healing for the player, similar to the 251. - USF M3 and M5, and Soviet M5 Half-tracks can now heal infantry in their hold when out of combat. - M3 Medical Crate ability removed '' I don't see the use in giving USF healing halftracks considering that they have the ambulance, which provides far superior healing while arriving earlier. It's unnecessary. Same goes for british halftracks which aren't mentioned. In: COH2 Balance

That is specifically the key difference here. AA can bring down planes and thus shorten the time that the planes provide recon(obviously requiring an resource investment but key sentence is ''being able to be countered''). Flares have no way to be countered other than holding all munition points on the map which is ridiculous in comparison to planes or sight extenders like the SU-85 has. I don't remember how long arty flares last but it is usually enough for artillery to fire with clear vision. These flare abilities need to be restricted in use or outright replaced with abilities that can be countered, like recon planes or sight extenders. The mods have made decent suggestions, making spec ops doctrine open to changes aswell which is welcome. In: COH2 Balance

But we don't want to butcher it into irrelevance either by making it a worse doctrinal kubel. Would love to see opinions of the balance team with this jeep. In: Lobby
