I probably know exactly how to fix it, I don't have his source code to do it though.

I'll see if I can get in touch w/ pingtoft.

Pingtoft has provided us with the sourcecode. Maybe our brilliant coders like Inverse or Seb can hack something up. No promises :)

Good news, I think I fixed it! :)

I haven't done much testing though, so let me know if that works better for you now.

Just stumbled upon this one and I'm stunned. Grate job! How did you managed to know how to parse the files? Is there any open doc on this?

There is no doc but it's a long legacy (coming from COH1 and even maybe DOW) and you could find some code on the net. The most recent available version is probably the one from Inverse there : https://github.com/ryantaylor/CoH2ReplayParser. Don't expect that one to work as multiple changes have been done since then, but it's a strong base.

How it has been created in the first place and kept up to date? Both from reverse engineering (making tons of tests and comparing multiple replay files to current knowledge) + Relic is pretty open about it if we have questions, especially since COH2.

If there's an issue with it please post the replay(s) you have trouble loading.

Any chance of updating this with the new commanders? Advanced Warfare Tactics, Elite Troops, Soviet Industry, Partisan Tactics, Defensive Doctrine (Community), Mobile Defense Doctrine and possibly others.

And news maps like Crossing in the Woods? Stalingrad?

:D

Any change one could get access to the source? I have looked https://github.com/ryantaylor/CoH2ReplayParser but it is missing some core features. I am looking to write a batch analyser to produce some balance data. It would save a lot of time if I did not have to write the missing features.

Maybe send a PM to Seb. He was the last one to update this a few months ago. It's too hard to keep it up-to-date as the replay file format changes every month.
