^^
The US has 30 cal. machineguns for 60 munitions at the weapons locker....I suspect that they are between maxims and Mg42s.
There is also the 50 cal. MG for the airborne.
The OKW/US have heavier weapons: manhandled pack 75mm howie/75mm infantry gun instead of mortars.
The Pathfinders are the US version of the sniper.
Practically doctrinal snipers... that sounds like a familiar suggestion... (I interpret them as G43 American troops in terms of attacking other squads) |
You continuing on means you are here for more than just stating your opinion on vCoH and CoH2. You are still making useless replies because you think you can leave thinking you are right - ignoring the butthurt. They just said: everyone is entitled to their own opinion, so stop answering back. |
Yep but the existence of DLC commanders will make a redesign much harder
That is, unfortunately, the biggest obstacle... that will be the hardest part to overcome, but past problems would be bad to prohibit future opportunities. |
Its because SU/OH are very primitive in comparison. Americans have aspects that the core factions should have had in the first place. The balance team realizes that. Its why the core factions have to be redisgned. The new factions shouldnt have to be adjusted down to the old faction's level. The old factions should be adjusted to match up with the new factions. The new factions are more successful in design than the old ones, the core comes with old filler commander abilities that should have never taken up a slot in the commander, therefore, there is more opportunity for commanders when stinky abilities dont take up slots anymore.
Think about it. WFA took over 6 months just to design, and its heavily based on foregoing the failures in balance and gameplay of OH/SU. And now you think about it: what conditions were OH/SU designed under, again? In the game files, SU was designed somewhat after the old vCoH Americans. The core factions had problems from the start. They are the ones that need to catch up with the meta, not the new factions. |
1. Redesign Soviets completely.
2. Redesign Ostheer to remove useless unnecessities.
You can never fully fix something that has a problem by simply changing things here and there. You will have to scrap everything you currently have and start over. Since OKW and Americans are the byproducts of studying faultiness in the current core factions, they will end up being more balanced and fun to use because they have had 6 months to design them, avoiding the problems of Ost and Soviets from learning through past mistakes.

I don't know if anyone asked or said this before but I really do hope that other armies (Germans and Soviets included) will have the ability to move the crew outside of vehicle like Americans do.
American units come standard with vet 0 or vet abilities that in ost/soviet would take up a slot in a commander. I feel like the current commanders revealed for Americans hints that WFA has taken a long time to balance commander abilities in units to make commanders more unique overall. Ostheer and Soviets would need a commander and ability overhaul to allow then to do that, and i think that may be in their que for changes made to improve gameplay. |
I hate people who go waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah ITS NOT COH 1 WAAAHAHAHAHA ITS SO BORING
if you dont like this game
get out
go play Vcoh.
Change is a good thing. And i find WFA to be a very interesting and amazing change, despite the doubts of going back to the Western Front. |
so i read this correctly..rifles have smoke grenades of the bat.
hehe.. this means no more mg42s in decent and high level play.
this also means no more sniper(more or less)
as far as i love the versaltility.. i foresee grens vs rifles the only way to play.
i cant wait to see soviet snipers in the m20 greyhound.
Um... snipers are not allowed to crew vehicles, and the m20 does not ferry infantry. Thats not happening. I think the image relic trying to portray is that mg42's are strictly support units and cannot hold out on themselves... which makes the soviet faction the best faction of all with its t2 support weapons, as well as its versatile sniper. |
Old Alpha commanders are labeled like that. I assumed it was trying to advertise a non-existent key, or one that has not been released. Same thing happened to me too. |
Hey, in the trailer I see there is a medic so med bunker will be back? Also US got the Priest!
Even better, in the screenshots, the US have an ambulance. And what AA did the US have in the trailer? |
