So what's the point of it being a faction if it's retardedly easy to lose in the first 9 minutes of the game? Allies are already on top early game, a MP income reduction would make it so all USF or Soviets would need to do is spam cons/rifles early game for a easy win.
No faction should be based around being only good at a certain part of the game, every faction should be equal no matter what the game clock is. OKW and Ostheer early game shouldn't be shit because they have good late game, Allies early game shouldn't be good just because they have shit late game.
Maybe it shouldn't but that is Relics attitude from very beginning in both coh2 and 1. It's a part of franchise in quite similar way to cover or reinforce. But if you want axis to have early game faction, and you want okw to be that faction you need to take all, and I mean all it gets for the late game. Early game faction is not the faction that stalls to get easy win in super late game but the faction that has to win greatly in early game and then tries to seal the deal during med game. Right now okw is definitely not that kind of faction. Usf was designed that way and it works pretty well. |

Not exactly, some players played competitive, tournament games for many hours just because of the fact that finals were on next day. They didn't played day after but on the day that was planned for it. And some of them were after more games than others so they were more exhausted. Also you cannot say that every player is on the same level of durability. That said, in this particular situation, changing the time of matchup can change it's outcome. And that's why it has to be played on designated time to be valid.

This wouldn't change them being good with vet, this would only make OKW garbage early game. Why should a units vet bonus's factor in to your income/cost at the very start of the game when nobody has vet?
And now you got the whole point! Okw should be very weak early game. It was designed that way. That's the only reason the faction got nondoctrinal heavy tank and 5 levels of vet! And even not just regular vet but bonuses that multiple the worth of squad. Balancewise there is no real need for a faction that is best in every stage of the game to exist at all. |

Which faction exactly did you play and against which one? And also, if you loose to normal computer player you need more general training like positioning in cover, choosing counters to enemy units and remembering about your units more than strategy and build order. The game can be quite easily won against every computer difficulty level with strategies that have no way to work in pvp. |
OP is right, the faction itself is not bad, the problem lies in numbers. OKW was designed as a faction that is weak in early game, micro intensive in mid game and powerfull in late game. Problem is that due to low cost of teching and units their infantry is super spammable making them, after usf, 2nd best early game faction and patching their micro intensive, light vehicle based mid game with no-micro blobs.
That's why mp income reduction can solve the problem. The other idea could be to increase population and upkeep cost o their infantry especially on volks and obers. Again units themselves are ok, their numbers is the problem. |
Problem with Grens is sniper power of Cons.
Countless times Cons can snipe 1 model of Grens with full health at the beggining of engagement.
no they can not, why would they? It's simply impossible unless you mean 5 or 6 models shooting one gren model and all shots hit. But the chances are like really low, like 1/400 if grens are out of cover, cons not on the move and if cons all aim at one model, which is not very frequent itself. |
To add some 1v1 perspective:
It is very potent against usf in 1v1 as early muni transfer lets you build all the mg42s you want to counter riflemen super soldiers and bar spam. Later on you get some pgrens with shreck, usually one squad is enough, and do transition to T3 with stug first and p4 second, you can do without the stug but it's just as much fuel cheaper than p4 as muni transfer so it lets you get 1 more transfer before tanks. And thanks to abilities of the commander stugs really shine! AI strafe can succesfully cover its flanks, AT strafe completely denies jacksons and pgrens keep your flanks safe from shermans an stuarts. In my opinion it is one of the best commanders against usf in 1v1. Sure some others give you heavys and that is an edge vs usf but you have to live long enough to get those and that's really hard without early buffs for ost infantry.
Against soviets it's not that good. AI strafe works much better ofc because of the lack of major but heavies like IS2 are much harder to kill with AT strafe. The only way to go is get T4 but it needs tons of fuel so you have to make sure you get both fuel points for quite some time early on to be able to counter IS2 and win. Ofc strafe abilities and muni upgrades give you enough edge to do it but it's very risky to hope for that. |
Its the best building MG in the game.
Actually it's not. The best, yet least used building mg in game is DShK, there is no major difference in reload (which is also the time of changing windows from what i know) and DShK deals more damage, has AT rounds, 6 men crew and last but not the least it's arc of fire is as big as the one of mg-42 while shooting from the window. |
