AI also doesnt have a fog of war...the AI is a horrible cheater in so many ways...and even the HARD AI is better than most players.
You really think so? I don't know how many players we have but playing some 4v4s for laughs I found out that AI replacing a player is bad for the team unless you are ranked worse than 10000. And that is pretty damn low.
To Op:
AI is kindof stupid and sometimes even bugged (like famous mg opening in opposite direction) so it is very easy to beat. That's a problem for most players as they have no 'taining bag' to train new strats on. So if you are on AI level you are actually really lucky as you can train without loosing your rank. And on that level playing some more, learning grid keys, forgetting about the pause button and watching some streams is more than enough. |
Truth is that sending support weapon to fight without repairs is as stupid as playing without medics. And it was that way even in vcoh... |
My top tip for vehicle crushing - fire sherman smoke on top of the blob, then charge into it. They won't fire any shreks at you and you can put your tank on attack ground whilst crushing in the smoke with impunity.
Thats basically the reason why sherman has to stop before firing smoke.
Also I think that one fits here perfectly Kappa

seriously? .-.
This has been around since the beginning of coh.
Just retreat and if you can faust it...if you look all bunched up and crushable...if someone waltzes an M10 into your base without it being fausted, hitting a mine, or being snared at all you deserve to be crushed.
If you quit Coh2 because of something thats basically your own mistake or ignorance of vehicle crushing.... "you werent paying attention" you werent paying attention to a TANK chasing your giant mass retreat blob of men to your base?
Really? I know players are used to just ignoring the M10 like its a piece of paper trash, but yeah,it can crush blobs and mass retreaters in a big +100 XP lolfest.
If youre as casual as you say you are this of all things wouldnt even bother you,it would be funny.
EDIT looks like you were playing OKW,did a mass retreat and got rekt'. Even with the base flak cutting through the M10. FailFish
Exactly what I wanted to say. +1 |
Never seen it before this bad. Never seen an Axis tank do this. Can they? I'm genuinly asking because I've never noticed it.
I've had shermans run over my troops, but this was utter madness.
Every medium can do this, you just need to steer it well so it won't loose vehlocity. Panthers of both factions are really good in it. It's also easy with p4 on blitz. But it's true that M10 is the best crusher. On the other hand M36 (Jackson) is so lackluster it's one of the worst tanks for crushing. So maybe not every medium, and you just got the correct one in the thread name Kappa |
It's not like it's a bug or a problem, actually crushing infantry is the only thing m10 does well, also your units cannot be crushed while retreating so you can just retreat when you see a few tons of steel rushing your guys. And if you let m10 drive into your base without getting engine damage from any source it's basically your fault.
Btw, mods, pls change the name of the thread. |
The problem lies not in the fact that cons with ptrs are op but that they buffed MG-42 and in the same time created new counter to it. Why? Because ppl now magically started to use that HMG to see what it can do now and realised they got countered by one of the commanders.
Maybe it needs a minor cost nerf but it's not unbeatable in any way. You can defeat the commander with the same strat you always did. Just spam some lmg grens and wait for the tiger. What can possibly go wrong against no callin commander?
I know it's the strategy everybody is sick of but in case of countering that specific commander it's best. You can also add new buffed sniper to the mix. And you can try out new strats vs usf or other soviet doctrines as well.
Im pretty sure the situation will stabilise itself when players forget about MG-42 again. And they will as it got no suppression buff. |
I didn't know SVTs were mid-range. However, Guards being long-range only brings up the question of why they have frag grenades...and Button being very short in range.
Guards have granades for exact same reason volks have grenades: to defend against close range squads. And as for button the ability would be OP if it was long range, also it's kind of realistic as they have to aim peep holes of tank that are small, its impossible on close range. And if you remember bren troops from vcoh brits they also were long range lmg squad and their button was also quite short in range. |
And all they had to do was give Guards SVTs.
SVTs would make no sense. DPs are long range, mosins are long range, PTRSs are at least theoretically long range, why would you put mid-short range rifle into it? |
For the love of god stop whining about PTRS! You will make relic rollback the changes and nobody wants it.
Seriously it is in the best spot right now it ever was. It is the late mid/long range upgrade cons needed so hard and it actually makes guards usefull. Most of players just need to adjust their tactics because conspam and shocks is not all you can see on the field right now.
If it needs any changes make PTRS upgrade more costly but seriously don't touch the guards. Also ptrs is one of few good things tank hunter doctrine has to offer. |
