The main problem with snipers i have is that in proper hands they are almost unkillable. They are costly units that you need to babysit all the time so any drastic nerfs would make them useless. Sometimes even when i ambush a sniper with a light vehicle that should be the direct counter, my bren, kubel or scoutcar just ends up chasing it trought half of the map and it still manages to escape back to base. I think that the most simpe solution would be to half the snipers received acurracy bonus on retreat. This would make the actual counter work against them.
Just like in case of any other unit it should be possible and worth maintance cost to keep it alive untill the end of game. It cant be changed, especially on such an expensive unit. |
I'd like to remind the people who keep saying, "get thicker skin" or "if he gets offended he has mental issues" or any other sentiment essentially saying it's somehow Wada's fault is grade A victim blaming.

Yes, things wouldn't have been so bad for Wada if he took it less personally, or even ignored it, but that doesn't make him getting offended wrong. The person who is being an asshole for no reason is clearly the one at fault, anyone who uses some sort of ridiculous logical fallacy to justify it is insane.
The logic is not as flawed as it may seem. You can get offended for whatever reason from any random person in the internet, especially in multiplayer video games. Banning Barton or whatever other troll won't change that, there would always be someone that will find and use wadas weakness. For his own good he should take it as a lesson and work on himself, instead of sueing people. It would help him in whatever he does, in the internet or not. In fact, nobody is resistant to bullying from birth, we all learn it one way or another, usually as a child. It's about time for Wada to get this skill, too, as we all need it.
Btw, if they took it to the court, where would the trial happen? Anybody knows? There is not even a specific site of this 'crime'. |
I thought the "green cover symbol" shows up beneath the troop emblem as soon as more than the half of the squad is behind green cover, for example 3 out of 4 or 4 out of 6 models?
I honestly don't know when the symbol shows up as I tend to make sure there is enough spots in cover before ordering squad to move into it, so when they arrive and the symbol shows up they are all in cover. But it is true that squad with one soldier not in cover will still have the symbol, and that could be something to be changed.
I still don't think that allowing some part of squad to be out of cover unsuppressed is a good idea. This could make some directional cover positions really hard to suppress with flanking fire and some squads, like shocks, PPSh cons, volks, BAR riflemen and so on, can kill whole machinegun team with 2 or sometimes even one member that runs past mg without being suppressed. Not to mention that squads with nades have one special member that always throws nades, if that was the one someone extracts from the squad, all mgs would be doomed by exploiting such mechanic. |
I'd say arguing not to nerf snipers is as much pro Soviets as it is OH, only 3 factions would be affected (nerfed) after all.
Except sniper is the backbone of most ostheer 1v1 builds and soviet sniper team is a unit that is almost never used due to low RoF, terrible camo and the fact it's easiest to full health wipe unit in whole game. |

This is such a joke: Maybe not too much of a deal, but still very annoying... since nearly 10 years.
If a green-covered inf squad is under fire from a hmg, it gets surpressed immediately if 1 model of the squad is not behind green cover.  (The HMG surpresses the 1 model which is not in cover --> the whole squad is surpressed)
Is that not intended behaviour? Imagine how it would look like otherwise, you wouldn't be able to suppress squad becouse one man is behind tiny cover. Or better, you would wire one man behind green cover in base and then move around all the other members freely without suppression.
Right now the calculation is simple and fair - squad is either suppressed or not, every member of squad under suppressing adds his suppression to suppression pool of the squad, so to not get suppressed you need all members in cover. |

Through the years Barton managed to troll so many people in this community its not even possible to count them. In fact, wada is the first that can't cope with it, you can answer yourself who seems to be more problematic then.
Just look at the example of hans, back in the time there were many people watching his stream mostly becouse he became so angry after loosing. Some also happened to streamsnipe him to trigger the reaction they wanted to see. But did hans say he is going leave community or denounce them? No. He continued to improve his play and now streamsniping him is not so beneficial becouse he is just hard to win against. He also worked on his anger and now its not that easy to trigger him.
I hope wada will become a man and chooses similar route to hans. |
lol no. The commanders like lightning war armored assault were in the store a few months after release, atleast a year before the first warspoils came out.
Lightning war is in another group, of good, one could say p2w, commanders that were added just to be sold, months after release. But the original ones that were given only with the deluxe edition couldn't be bought in store at the time. |
Yup, snipers are not walking alone usually. Fact if 1 sniper was effective 2 will be twice effective.
