They say recon support is bad. I never played it, so I'll go with the common folk
I never chose spec ops (or did once). Didn't fancy it, but again, I like Ostheer more
I find reckon support one of the strongest doctrines out of all the hipster ones. In fact its my fav choice for USF. Not strongest, but definitely fav and unique.
And if there are two commanders with no place currently, its elite armor and mechanized. |
Seems I falsely assumed the modifier applied to the weapon crews universally, since the crews otherwise have identical stats per faction.
Anyways, I guess Relic knows what they are doing by adding it to Sov ATGs, even if some sov-fanbois will no doubt rip themselves two fresh new buttholes over this.
That is some high quality trolling sir as I refuse to believe you are THAT stupid to actually think such a glaring bug is intended.
Unless you firmly believed last night that maxims loosing 125% rec acc penalty was intended change as well. |
As far as I know, the ZiS should always have had the same incoming small arms modifier as all other Support Teams.
Pretty shocking if it really hasn't for this entire time, until now.
Logic slap:
If all other AT guns never had it, its not logical for sov ones to have it.
Also proves(again) that you don't really know as much as you think you do, but that is a common case with posters as vocal as you. |
thats not completely true.
for instance if pathfinders (who have extra vision range over most infantry) crew an MG, the MG will be able to see further than if your rear echelon crewed it.
I personally would be interested in seeing a comprehensive list.
But that is not merging, its recrewing, different mechanic. |
Yes,, but thing is all starting infantry kind of got a nerf, and penals were not changed, which makes penals indirectly somewhat better.
If you have a dump and take another dump next to it, the first one won't magically smell like flowers and turn into chocolate.
You'll simply have 2 dumps.
That is the situation of current soviet core infantry and with guards being battered as well, pretty much only mainline infantry soviets have that actually can fight are shock troops.
Relic wants soviets to spam snipers and maxims. |
So I should just accept the gameplay and balance flaw?
If relic ties call-in with research cost. then I think it will fix many problems. it would give players a chance to use most units in-game.
Its a design decision, not a gameplay flaw and yes, you should accept it, because it will never change.
It never changed in coh1, it won't in coh2, because it is impossible to balance 1v1 and 4v4 when you have asymmetrically balanced armies. It was impossible when we had 2 armies, its even more impossible now that we have 4.
You could just as well ask for war elephants for germans. |
I havn't played with it yet but is it not just a small percentage change?
No, the nerf is HUGE. |
So ur ok with a company failing to balance all game modes?
Expecting 1v1 and 4v4 to be balanced in a game with no mirror factions is like expecting to see stars during noon. |
The idea of soviets being cheesy is cheesy itself. Imo the disparity between the factions is what makes coh2 a great game. If you play soviets - plz use maxims and snipers. If you want strong base-infantry go USF instead.
Can't agree with that.
Lazy, bad balance of base units for vanila armies led to this disparities and they are far from good for the game, because you are forced into few certain BOs or loose. New armies do not suffer this problem as much as all their stock units are viable.
But soviets and wehr? Its simply a bad design, especially in soviet case where you either base your strat on a doctrine or loose the game against equal opponent. You have wrong doctrines? You use by default and only a few are viable. |
2 months ago I had like 100 and something axis games on 2v2 AT(arena team) and me and my partner decided to switch for soviets. After 20 games we were 500 places above the place we were able to achieve with Axis.
That isn't actually anything hard to do, considering the sheer difference of allied to axis players. You had to beat a considerably less players in ladder because just a handful still plays allies.
That felt disgtusting when thinking at player faction balance
Fixed.
You are getting high in ladder quickly, because allied player base is just enough to sustain automatch going.
Ever wondered why you need to wait 10 mins for a game as axis and got instant pops as allies? |
