Too many fanboys
Leave it to relic
True. Even thought guys at Relic are taking their time to make a patch (like, half a year) and their QA has a lot of problems, there are A LOT of fanboys who will eventually unite and trash the game.
Although, a select group of people who know what they're talking about might get things done. But imagine the shit storm if they announce a group of players as their advisers. |
Waiting for Inverse to clear things up. |

Whenever someone says something about Axis not having good indirect fire, the response is STUKA DIS STUKA DAT STUKA OP. True, stuka needs some kind of tweak, but axis, specially Osthere need better arty, and I mean arty, not the current mortars the have. And let's not forget that Soviet PM21 (or whatever its name is) got nijjabuffed last patch. |
The concept of "consistent inconsistency" and player's influence over RNG is very well written in this post. You should be able to influence the odds and take calculated risks, not to get punished because you want to counter a certain unit. |
Well Ostheer could use Hetzer, make it better than StuG III (tougher). It could be an effective tank destroyer that Ostheer doesn't currently have, the StuG III is multi-role, good at AT and AI but excels at none.
PS: I would love to see a Wespe for Ostheer doctrine Relic, LeFH sucks too much
Wespe, Grille, Hummel, Hetzer, Jagdpanther, MarderIII, Nashorn, PzIII, StuGIV, StuH. There are a lot of units to be used, but the main question remains: Can they create "Unique gameplay"? This is more important than the faction being German or Italian or anything else. |
As for a new axis faction is your that desparate why not make one about the last minute cost effective and actually useful designs by Nazi Germany? Like the Hetzer/Marder series?
Exactly. Germans had a lot of different units in the WWII, and there is a "GERMAN WAR MACHINE SUPERIORITY" myth around them which makes them a viable choice for game design. There are still a lot of unused late game vehicles as you said.
But the main problem is, can they design a unique gameplay? |
its mindblowing that there are people defending the ptrs wrecking manned support weapons. CoH2 is roughly based on a scissor - rock - paper system, but things get wrong if a scissor suddenly counters the rock, if you know what i mean.
A blob roaming around not only being able to kill the crew, but to actually wreck the gun itself is NOT FINE. And it doesnt matter if its a soviet or usf blob. Just because OKW could blob up schrecks doesnt justify the BS that is happening now on the soviet side.
You should care about the balance as a whole and not just about your preferred side. This means playing the game and widening your horizon. Because its very narrow for some people.
This. And They still can, and Obers are still best infantry but non of them justify Cons PTRS spam. |
I dont know why you think its cheesy, he chose to blob and got countered. Props for showing him what happens in a mass retreat
What you guys forget is that you can punish non blobbing players by crushing their infantry, which is extremely cheesy. That's why I think crushing is one of the most ridiculous "things" (I don't know if its a bug or intended or something else) in the game. |
Hmm, perhaps at vet 3 they get the 85mm gun, this would increase usefulness while not making t34/85 doctrines useless, you will need to get it up, whereas callin will be instant and scale better with its own vet.
Well, not as much as T34/85. I only want it to scale better, because when it arrives, it does it's job which is to counter infantry, HMG, flank ATGs and with good micro counter medium armor, but later they become obsolete.
IIrc, T34/76 has 120 penetration and t34/85 has 160. I think 130-140 penetration on vet3 for T34 would make them more useful late game. This game, people are actually encouraged to go T3, spam T34s and with good unit preservation counter heavier axis units. |
