That is a good idea. Like Mark Vehicle. Not that it would prevent the P47 from destroying the tank anyway. I am in agreement that the P47 is just plain dumb. There is no counter play once its locked onto you. Its just good bye damaged armor. I would like to see a cost reduction and a damage reduction for it. It should only be able to kill armor if they are dumb enough to stay the full duration. It should help alot but not just erase armor as it can do. Sure OKW can deal with it but Ost cannot as the Ostwind is garbage at AA. In: COH2 Bugs

OKW T1 or T2: 40 fuel OKW Flak HQ: 80 fuel OKW Puma: 100 fuel (need to invest 40 + 100 = 140 fuel to get out) OKW Luchs: 50 fuel (need to invest 40 + 80 + 50 = 170 fuel to get out) OKW Panther: 175 fuel (need to invest 40 + 80 + 175 = 295 fuel to get out) The 66% fuel income doesn't mean anything when the teching costs are dirt cheap. The panther counters the T-34 by miles with just 15 fuel more. This needs to be adjusted. It's even more broken in team games if the OKW player is supplied using the luftwaffe fuel supply (most broken out of these), fuel caches or Opel trucks. BUT BUT THE FUEL PENALTY DOH!!!!! Thread: Map Hac- Er, I mean, Searchlight8 Jan 2015, 14:05 PM The IR Searchlight DOES give away its position. I at first thought it was graphical corruption but when it sweeps your units it changes their color so you know youve been swept by it. You can use this to figure out exactly where the HT is. It is a gimmicky waste of fuel and is in no way shape or form OP. If Mortars and such could auto fire or it reduced scatter on swept units to make arty more useful then maybe. But it doesnt do any of those things. It just tells the enemy you have seen him and shows you where he is in an uncontrollable cone. In: COH2 Balance

The only time its going to bite you is if he had all that out already and he has PERFECT preservation. Because whiping out Obers without the ability for the OKW player to replace them is priceless. No to mention 1 Panther is bad but 2 is a nightmare. But its much better to get it earlier. In: Strategy Desk
Thread: Whats the US end game plan?8 Jan 2015, 13:42 PM I think the best thing to do and what I notice NO ONE else using against OKW is to make it your mission to take out his FlakHQ as soon as its built. Because lets face it whats the problem in 1v1 as OKW? Luchs Obers and Panthers. The Flaktruck builds all these things. It also costs 80 fuel so taking it out is a HUGE delay to Panther production. I myself NEVER go for the AAHT vs OKW instead I go fast Cap. Once the Cap is out I build an ATG cap up to outside his FLAKHQ range and build an FP with an MG to suppress the blob that WILL come. Then target the ATG into the FOW at the FlakHQ. Works a treat. This extends the early game and if successful is often an outright win. Also as an added benefit you need not worry about the OKW HT or Pumas or Luchs because you already have an ATG. And having the ability to replace your units almost instantly with the Cap is huge for me since I play aggressive. The time to build USF armor is so damn painful but with the Cap you can spit them out Soviet Industry Style. In: US Forces Strategies

Now back to the real world. If they nerf its direct fire then there is no reason it shouldnt be GREAT at indirect fire. Its a howitzer after all. Though a small one. No reason it should be weaker then a Mortar. And when I say as strong as a Walking Stuka I mean have that kind of THOU SHALT NOT TURTLE impact that the Stuka Zu Fuss enjoys. The stats dont have to mirror it. Just yknow deny AT guns and MG usage that sort of thing... In: COH2 Balance

USF actually does have a decent amount of blob counters. But when the blobs come with heavy armor, you get your ass handed to you since you cant fight both. Sorry I should have specified. HARD COUNTERS like the Bulldozer or Demos. It can just sit there and beast the Shreks and blow them to dust. Everything else the USF has is a soft counter i.e. tons of Micro Tax. And when your paying Micro Tax on Infantry Blobs then out comes the Armor and your paying Micro tax to deal with that too and then you have the current situation that Relic acknowledged as the USF requiring more Micro then what would be considered fair. Infantry AT should not be some sort of factional advantage. One side should not be any better at it then the other. Especially not the side with better tanks. You realize of course both the Shreks and Bazookas have the exact same accuracy. The problem isnt the Weapon its the crazy Vet of the unit that carries it. If they were to Nerf the Accuracy of Shreks the only thing that should be done for Zooks is remove the fuel cost and say half the Muni cost. 90 Muni for a BAR and Zook basically would give you a Rifle Squad that had no AI drawback and could do SOME AT even if its crap for no net loss. Otherwise they should not touch the Shrek and buff the crap out of the Zooks to make them as useful as Shreks. In: COH2 Gameplay
