Increase DOT from flames, reduce crit.
Reduce rangecast from abilities while supressed. No more Rnades/Molotovs to MGs while being crawling on the ground.
This. Everybody that complains about Molos being thrown at an MG seem to conveniently forget that this is true with all nades. Guards will do it, Shocks will do it, Grens will do it, Pgrens will do it.
This isnt just molo unique. |
But if we go for the extreme, someone with pure better micro and APM will just be unbeatable, despite the tactics or strategy you might pull.
In order to make T1 something besides snipers, light vehicles and Penals should be more reliable.
Penals should be cheaper to not totally destory balance. With no buffs I would say 280-320 MP. Then like you said T1 would have more to offer then just sniper spam.
Funny fact Irregualars sometimes come with 4 SVT rifles, have the Guards Squad Grenade, AT nade and cost 250.....280 for two more rifles and no guard nade or AT nade sounds good to me.... |
Exactly this.
I don't know how mentally challenged one need to be to think that molotovs will not be the go-to thing when it is the ONLY non doctrinal way of spending munition besides mines.
On top of that, its still additional fuel upgrade, something that germans pay nothing for, because its already included for them.

I usually use them mid game to recrew weapons lying around on the cheap. Any and all of them. Or for an extra Faust in a pinch if I had a lot of gren whipes. |
None as Ost. All winter maps as soviet (lack of ht for winter attrition) |
Penals aren't bad for a unit that costs 280 MP and have 6 pop cap. Too bad they cost 360 mp and have a 9 pop cap. It would be like putting the p4 to the cost of the panther. It's still a good tank but over priced. They are basically G43 grens with no Faust that loses DPS fighting any infantry as Pgrens do facing a sniper. |
I just spam grens back. The key is to control your muni. Every Ppsh they get you have an LMG for. And keep 2 LMGs together. One moves the other mows. Don't waste muni on riflenades or tech to T2 or even Phase 1 too early. Keep fielding grens or pop an Mg or two in there after about 5-6 grens. Works great for me a lot easier to beat than maxim spam.
Your weakness or their strength is defeating light vehicles and weapon teams with a mass of scripts and forcing retreats while gaining map control. Don't waste your precious early manpower on these things. He isn't teching often and that allows him to sustain the bleed and outnumber you. |
I don't find T1 to be worthy enough, or in other words, I don't like the idea of 440mp/40fu sniper.
If only penals stood up to their cost.. I love this unit and its theme/lines, but hate how it performs compared to cheaper, upgraded squads or equally priced squads.

"3. i do dislike 85 fuel tanks disabling 200 fuel tanks."
I agree 100% the Stug shouldnt have Target weakpoint! I mean they beat up my poor IS2 with it!
Yuck Yuck Yuck |
Im a lot better with Soviets than I am with Germans, Im beggining to understand that the key to Ger is identifying exactly what the Soviets are doing, and picking a strat and doctrine which counters it, which imo is a lot harder than simply dictating how the game is played, as when Soviets.
Because most soviet strategys involve strong certain elements, with other elements either neglected, or not available.. thats where Ger can capitalise.. if they can think quickly enough while fighting. It also requires a deep understanding of Soviets, which I dont think is the case the other way around.
I agree and what i describe is just that. They knew what I could and could not do in those cases and were ready for it. I was just stuck going ATTACKKK!!!!! lol
