God almighty I wish there were a way to do that Mr Someguy. There unfortunately is no way to do so without making it a visual object only which doesn't work well for anywhere gameplay where pathing or combat is occurring.
Working around the clunky chessboard that are coh maps can be extremely frustrating.
That's a shame. And here I was thinking the rotated carts made the perfect props for my coal mine map. Shame it rotates the cover icons too, making them next to invisible on the upright cart. |
So I have no idea if this is anywhere near the "scope" of what modders can even do but I may ask anyway. In Worldbuilder if you rotate an object, it rotates the spacing markers too, if an object is turned on it's side, all the little cover circles will also be sideways. Is there any way to fix that? |

That's a targeted, limited-duration ability though. KV-2 setup etc are toggle abilities ;<
.. though that now gives me an idea.
While you're at it, could it be made so that the Half-Track's "deploy units" button is queue-able? I think it would make Half-Tracks far more viable as transports if you could queue it to ferry troops up front and come right back for the next group. |
Unit is bad, real bad.
OKW should lose base flaks and gain bunkers as Elchino said. Flak emplacement could then get some love of some sort.
The game considers the Base Flaks and Luftwaffe Flaks to be different units, so they can be changed independently of each other. For simplicity and logic's sake, they should probably just gain the MG Bunker. |
Does anyone know if a list of nifty SCAR abilities exists? By rooting through SP maps I've been able to place vehicles on the map that act as pseudo-props. I can place AT Guns that cannot be selected or re-crewed, or show a number. But rooting through SCAR files from SP doesn't get you far, so I was wondering if anyone had a list of entity group commands. |
Solved. On a hunch I went to the folder where the files were saved and went into properties. "Read Only" had that blue square in it, I unticked it and applied. Reopened it and it still had the blue tick as usual, but I opened Worldbuilder and tried to save a map, and it worked. Tried another, also worked. Not sure what was ever wrong in the first place, but it's working for now. |
Actually, they did drop in the battle of the bulge. It was called Operation Stösser.
People hear that there were no large scale drops and assume they stopped them completely. They just stopped doing drops like Crete or Normandy. Small drops were still done, though rarely. One of the reasons drops weren't done often was because the parachute harness made it impossible to carry a weapon, so weapons were dropped in a separate crate. Many dropped with only a pistol or grenades, many dropped unarmed. |
The question for Relic would otherwise be "why change this -now- and lose focus, when we can get more feedback and change it at a later patch?". Or, otherwise; why should this issue be the one that's prioritised over the others.
Sheesh now we know why balance issues took months or even years to resolve. Relic's attitude toward balance is "Why change it, when we could just do nothing? |
