The t-34 for that matter is shrouded in shiny myths. take away the shiny myths and look on the numbers you will be horrified. i can write and entire essay why the t-34 is worst tank in ww2 but lets take 1941 where the t-34 supposed to have no equal. Yet of the 2800 t-34's 2200 got knocked out half of them caused by the p3 with its 50 mm gun.
If the T-34 is so awful, why did the Germans enjoy even the worst model?
T-34/76 was held in high regard and also elite units such as Panzergrenadier Division "Grossdeutschland" (Panzer Regiment "Grossdeutschland") used some captured examples as late as 1945. Waffen-SS units also did not hesitate to use captured T-34/76 tanks and 2nd SS Panzer Division "Das Reich" and 3rd SS Panzer Division "Totenkopf" pressed significant number into service. Modifications included installation of commander’s cupola (from damaged Panzerkampfwagen III and IV tanks), Schuerzen (armor skirts) and other equipment such as Notek light, storage boxes, tools, radio equipment and antenna.
Surely such elite divisions wouldn't want to use "the worst tank in WW2"?
Since when is the M1919 superior to the LMG 42? They are almost identical. The lmg42 has slightly more long range dps while the m1919 has slightly more close range dps. The difference is that riflemen can carry 2 m1919.
But the M1919 in-game can suppress, it is the only LMG that can passively suppress.
I really like the idea of having to reconnect to your old match until it ends before you can start a new one, similar to Dota 2 and LoL, but I also really like the idea of having a million dollars.
The quitter isn't always the problem though. Sometimes you just get that team that's been basepinned for 10 minutes and is outnumbered 5 - 1 but just will not surrender.
I don't know if I'd call OKW strong or weak. It's a weird faction, they're easy to break, but if you fail to break them, they become unbreakable. In early-mid game, OKW rides a fine line between victory and failure. One mistake and it's over.
I feel like when I lose a Conscript squad, that's a mistake, but oh well. If I lose Volks, well shit they were pretty important. If I lose a T-70, that really sucks. But if I lose a Luchs or Puma? Fuck fuck fuck!
I'm guessing he is an Oberkommando player since his opinion on the other 3 factions ranged from ok to good while his OKW analysis is so completely off it is laughable.
He plays all factions, but I feel like his expectations + poor experience with OKW has ruined his view of them. OKW is so weirdly designed, imo they suffer from Panzer Elite syndrome. That is to say whenever I play them, I feel like they have a lot of options, but not any options I actually need. Yeah I got like 7 light vehicles, 4 infantry types, and 3 heavy tanks, but what I need is either out of reach or simply not part of the faction.
Something it seems everyone forgets about using the troops training early is that you use the vet three squad to force engagements at their cutoff and fuel. It is such a lobsided fight you can deprive your opponent of the fuel it took to vet that squad in a minute or so, plus all the man power drain it takes to just retreat the vet three squad. THAT is why it is unfair. Most players simply think that it severely hampers your tech path but in reality when you use it correctly you do far more damage to the opponent than it took to get the Vet three.
True, but Vet Rifles / M3 / WC51 can do the same, it's just part of the game. You're still sinking more into those Grenadiers than you would if you had your own T1 Scout Cars.
While it seems I was wrong about the price comparing the P4 and Jackson, the fight is still a slug fest. Can the Jackson Kite? yea, But SU-85s can also kite but they get flanked. My point is that a main battle tank is almost as good as the Tank destroyer at a large cost making it difficult for US to compete late game.
But the Jackson has a huge range advantage as well, if exploited properly the Panzer IV shouldn't get close. The Jackson should be supported as well since it lacks AI abilities.
Well he mentioned how Elite troops is not broken, which I disagree on. Is rifle company worse? probably, but by no means does that mean elite troops is fair.
I think it's fine, you invest a lot to get that veterancy.
A P4 still goes toe to toe with the Jackson and it cost more.
They cost the same, and the Jackson is supposed to stay out of the range of the Panzer IV. You're either using the Jackson wrong, or you got ambushed or flanked.
Pumas still over preforming. they still are an armored car that beats tanks. 1v1 it can still win vs a sherman not even using its aimed shot (which for sure puts the nail in its coffin)
Light tanks, yeah. Mostly the T-70, the M5 can defeat it easily with it's stun ability. In a slug-fest, it'll likely lose to a T-34/76 or Sherman unless you left HE rounds on.
I dont understand how he thinks a jagdP4 is terrible. It has way more armor, plenty of penetration, and has a vet one ability that makes it undetectable on the minimap. Its veterancy is flat out amazing and allows it to outscale the heaviest tanks. A vet three JagdP4 in a 1v1 fight kills a KV2. there are no problems with it.
I think everyone thinks it's bad because it can't hunt tanks like the SU-85 can.
Luchas is ment to be a gap filler unit, not to kill everything. Because OKW can place that truck first, What happens if you run into 2 heavy machine guns? you need the luchas to help deal with weapons teams which is why it is in that tier.

Also, you cannot place that truck first, so the Luchs is deployed much later than any other light vehicle, which is a shame because I feel OKW could seriously benefit from the Luchs.
The ONLY single advantage to implementing that is, we would finally give schock troops the weapon they actually use in game currently, but with different skin:
PPSh got changed actually, it still has a sharp dropoff but it gets max DPS out to 10 meters and can out-DPS's a Gren squad up to 14 meters.
It did during Alpha and the end of Alpha, but because of the things they changed between end of Alpha and Launch in it's current state I'd say no, once they get things back to being actually balanced properly and start listening to the community again (they listened during alpha but ignore us during live it seems) then yes.
Agreed with this, mostly the fact that they moved the M15 to Lieutenant and the Panzer II to Heavy Panzer Corps. As a result the M15 comes out way too early while the Panzer II comes out way too late.
I'm not a fan of the mixed game types. For me it has changed the game into a fantasy RTS rather than a WW2 RTS. The gameplay is alright at least, if not that the game is very stale because everyone uses the same optimal doctrines and build orders.
To be fair I don't recall the part about Soviet Doctrine that included using Flamethrowers in Scout Cars to attack the Wehrmacht because their AT didn't arrive yet.
