The Luchs is fine for a light tank. My only complaint about the unit is that it only costs 50FU while other light tanks cost 70FU but it lacks any real AT capability and if it cost much more it would arrive too late so it kind of needs to cost only 50FU to be useful.
It's the time equivalent of 75 fuel and comes in the T3 building which costs 80 fuel. Soviet T3 is also 80 fuel, and both factions starting fuel is enough to cover their T1. In an even game with OKW using Fuel Conversion, the Soviets should be able to get a T-70 out a couple minutes before the OKW Panzer II. |

I'd be glad it to be renamed, but Relic never change the stupid name 'conscript' also.
They changed the name for Honor Guards, and they were more deserving of that name than current Volks are of theirs, but that was before release. Assault Grenadiers and Panzergrenadiers have more in common with the "Volksgrenadier" name than Volks. The defining feature of a Volksgrenadier Division's loadout was that they had more more SMG's, AR's, and LMG's.
There's even the misconception that the MP 40 was the primary weapon of the German Soldier, because of Volksgrenadiers. |
Well, then what do you suggest? Any weapon upgrade existing in Axis will make volks to resemble other units.
Maybe AT rifle, but that's too old weapon for volks and not designed for infantry...not even automatic.
At this point, I'd rather they just rename Volks to something generic like "Landser" or "Frontkämpfer". Or just call them what they are, "RPG Suicide Squads". Relic's design for Volks does not resemble Volksgrenadier Divisions at all, they have nothing in common and the name Volksgrenadier is perplexing. Their design for Sturmpioneers and Obersoldaten make a real Volksgrenadier unit unfortunately redundant. |
Instead of trying to carve out a "light vehicle phase" it would have worked just as well making sure light vehicle remain useful into late game.
That'll never happen unless Light Vehicles are changed so that they can kill Medium Tanks, like 2 T-70's being able to kill a Panzer IV, or 3 swarming a Panther. As-is though, Light Vehicle have no use outside early-mid, they're too expensive, fragile, and weak compared to Medium Tanks. |
Officer aura abilities was the worst from part of coh1 so why bring it back? Suppression immunity and damage buff auras only promotes blobbing and bad play.
Personally I think the bonuses should get weaker the more people you have in one area.

Why are people trying to turn OKW into ost. You like ost, you play ost. It is also possible to keep the kubel alive pretty long..
It's not about "Being like Ost", it's about being well designed. If something works and another thing doesn't work, does it not make sense to go with the option that does work? |
The 222 and the flakhalftrack should clearly win engagements with a giant mg mounted on a truck...
Realistically a quad mount would be extremely devastating to lightly armoured vehicles like the 222 or 251. Of course on the other hand, the 2cm autocannons aren't anything to scoff at either. |
Yeah, so perhaps a 4 second cooldown (gun cannot fire) in order to emphasize it's use as a support ability, rather than a solo-machine? |
I haven't experienced it insta-firing another shot, but if that's an issue it can be easily resolved by adding a wind down / cool down so that it cannot continue normal behavior immediately. |
