I really really don't understand why Relic doesn't add the pershing to the game.
I mean, who doesn't want it? Only Quinn D.? The rest of the universe is craving for this unit..

There's a lot of players that don't want it. A poll thread last year was 84/82 in favor of no Pershing.
Lots of history fans prefer the Jumbo because unlike the Pershing, it actually had an effect on the war. The Pershing had an effect on US Cold War tank design more than anything. |
Yes, Main Gun Destroyed does not affect the Quad Mount. The M2 the Half-Track starts with is counted as the Main Gun, but since this is removed for the Quad Mount, "Main Gun Destroyed" simply does nothing. |

Main gun crit should be removed because it currently always happens when penetrated under 25% hp.Makes light vehicles and mediums a lot less effective and reliable.
Puma is more or less useless due to that.
Actually the Puma's problem is that there's a bug where Small Arms fire will always trigger Main Gun Destroyed. So any vehicle that can take small arms fire damage getting shot while below 25% will lose the gun every time. |
Hey Cruzz, does the game make any distinction between:
Vehicles empty at the start of the map.
Vehicles left empty by USF Crews.
Vehicles abandoned by critical.
Also here's a useless The More You Know fact:
While the OKW Panzer IV has the same frontal Armour of a Vet 2 Ostheer Panzer IV (234), it doesn't have the same rear armour as one. A stock Panzer IV has 90, a Vet 2 one has 117, the OKW has 80, which is actually less than the Ostheer version. This means the OKW Panzer IV can be penetrated in the back by a T-34 or Sherman at all ranges 100% of the time, unlike a Panzer IV which will at least deflect 11% of the time at max range. The Quad Half-Track at point-blank has a 1/33 chance to penetrate an OKW Panzer IV from behind, but will never penetrate an Ostheer Panzer IV. In theory, you can kill an OKW Panzer IV this way, but not in practice as it may take up to 3 minutes (tested). |
Gun Destroy I disagree, once your tank is down to 50% health you should be retreating.
Abandon, they need to rework so that it disables the vehicle until you repair it, or make capping it cost fuel like in Ardennes Assault. |
- ML20 - Needs vet reworking (extra 2 shots brings it up to 12 per salvo, meaning it fires the same amount as the LeFe but has ALOT more damage). So remove that and have them at 10 shots per salvo.
Make it an Area Denial barrage, rapid fire, very low damage, high area of effect, high suppression (maybe even force-retreat), temporary crits to vehicles. |
Slightly OT but I love Cold War military discussion.
I just like how there was a period in the 1950's where the Soviet Union could have invaded the west with AK-47's and Main Battle Tanks while Europe and America were still largely armed with Bolt-Actions, Submachine Guns, and Medium Tanks.
I guess the Westerners (America especially) saw the Sturmgewehr fail to turn the tide of the war, and thus weren't in a rush to make their own Assault Rifles. |
I know this can't ever happen, but removing the autocannon, nerfing HP, and putting the 221 into T1 with Sniper going into T2 would be really cool. While your at it, Relic, give the unit more non-combat utility. Finally, rework Panzgrens Shreks into one each, for 75 muni, filling the anti light vehicle gap left by this change.
So essentially the 222 from the game and replace it with combination AI / AT Infantry? Sounds awful to me. I'd rather the 222 get cost boosted and gain limited effectiveness against other Light Vehicles. |
M42 cries in a corner
Light guns like the M-42 could be moved by hand, but alas they'd become obsolete by 1945. And after 1950, AT Guns in general were largely obsolete in favor the Main Battle Tank, Tank Destroyer, and Rocket Propelled Grenade. |
