Sorry for the delayed responce, I got busy this weekend. A quick google of, "WorldBuilder cannot delete unit"
I talked to our designers and this is apparently an old WorldBuilder bug. For now the workaround is hover the mouse above the unit, bring down the console by pressing the tilde('~') key and run the 'wb_orphan_nuke_entity' command.
I have not tried to see if it works in COH2 Worldbuilder...if it doesn't, I'm sure it can be... |
In the first coh worldbuilder, there was a nuke command you could type in, and whatever your mouse was hovering on was deleted. I cant remember the command, or where to enter it...but, ill see if I can find the old article. |

Hello,
I've got a problem with impasse. If you look at the screencap you see the red areas leading up on the little hills. I made those hills with the spline deformation tool and I can't remove the impasse, regardless of any changes I make to the profile of the deformed terrain.
Does any one have any good tutorials or help with this sort of thing?

Bake the spline, and use the terrain editor to smooth to passable. |
Move the map files (sgb's and script files), from your COH1 directory, to your COH2 directory.
Then you can open the sgb in the coh2 worldbuiler. This is where decisions must be made. IF you do not want to lose playable area to the "soft zone", you will need to make a stamp of evertyhing but the terrain, and make a new mp map, bigger than original, and restamp everything back in, and redo the terrain manually.
If losing playable area is acceptable, to create your "soft zone", then just start replacing the gameplay objects, such as starting locations, and resouce objects.

In the "Atmosphere Properties", you can add multiple atmosphere presets in the "Transitions" panel, ie. _mp_2p_Kholodnaya_Ferma.aps and _mp_2p_kholodnaya_ferma_blizzard.aps and specify how many seconds the transitions should take and how long each atmosphere should live.
With the "Load" and "Save" buttons at the top, you can even load the standard presets and edit them.
Is that not the same thing?
Edit: Ah, no it's not the same thing. But with this you can make your map start out at night and transition to daytime.
Yes, but I believe IF you enable the blizzard script through the SCAR file, it over-rides the atmosphere settings. But if you wanted the look of the blizzard, without the gameplay affects, then transitions is what you would use, but keep in mind, I don't think it repeats, so whatever sequence you set up, the last preset will be the final settings used once the timers get to it.
I actually wanted to customize the blizzard sequence, starting in fair weather, and half way switching to a blizzard for the remaineder of the map, but I don't think its possible. |

That is the destination folder for the exported file, it is the correct location.
I THINK the issue is your windows login name. It has a special character in it. Im not 100% sure, but I did read some people having issues with user names.

Try this.
Start/Control Panel/User Accounts/Change Your Account Name
Try something with basic letters, restart your computer, verify the user name was changed, and more importantly, the actual user folder.

Is there any way to fix the minimap rotation for custom maps?

Follow the entire tutorial. Somewhere in the middle, he explains which files needs flipped vertically.
The next patch should remove the need to do this manually, so just waiting for the patch, is also an option. |
Will do, gonna try this evening or on the morrow and update this. I do think it'll probably gonna say about the same thing i'm afraid but i will provide. And the *.SGA is directly in the mp-subfolder.
I recommend following the exact format that the developers used.
for example
data/scenarios/mp/4p_Uneventest01/4p_Uneventest01.sgb
Also, just to rule out, have you verified game cache integrity, of Companyofheroes2 in steam? I doubt this is your problem, but it never hurts to check. |
